Staff requests that City Council adopt a resolution accepting the park improvements
completed pursuant to the Capital Improvement Project ( CIP) PK 16- 07 with Miracle
Play Systems,
Inc.
Staff also requests that City Council authorize a Notice of
Completion to be filed with the San Joaquin County Clerk.

CIP PK 16- 07 was approved on June 8, 2015 as part of the 2015/ 16 budget hearing.
At the August 3, 2015 City Council Meeting, Council approved a resolution approving
the purchase of the playground equipment and installation of rubberized surfacing
with
a
Miracle Playsystems, Inc.

at an estimated expense of $ 451,
363 which included
contingency to achieve the goals of the project.
The scope of these projects included:
Woodfield Park Removal of existing play equipment replacement of new
Jungle Themed play equipment and the installation of shark themed rubberized
play surfacing
Mossdale Park -
Installation
of
Cloud 9
Swing,
Bongos and Boingos, Wiggler,
Xylophone, and Calypso Drums ground level play features and running rivers
themed rubberized play surfacing.
Valverde Park - Installation of running stars and planets themed rubberized
play surfacing
Crescent Park -
Installation of the Vippy and Multi- Pondo play features
These projects were completed as part of the 2015- 16 Capital Improvement Program
as project
PK 16- 07.

The work has been inspected by City staff approved by the Director of
Public Works.
City Council' s acceptance of these improvements and authorization to file a Notice of
Completion is required pursuant to the project specifications and Lathrop Municipal
Code.
