CROWDRISE SET UP REQUEST As soon as you have set your event’s date, time and location in stone (any site reservations have been confirmed and we have received your event information and budget worksheet), please email the following information to [email protected]: Chapter Name: Your Name: Position on Committee: Event Location & City: Event Date: Event Time: Fundraising Goal: Deadline for Donations (so you know who your top 3 fundraisers are): Please also email (all at the same time): 1. Your introductory paragraph. Below is a sample. You can adapt it or write something new. Trek 4 Trykes is a fundraiser to provide Amtryke therapeutic tricycles to people with disabilities right here in the Piedmont-Triad. Join us! What is a Trek, you say? You can Trek it your way: Walk, Run, or Pedal! Our (roughly) 5k route will follow the lovely Bicentennial Greenway - beginning at 4285 Regency Drive, Greensboro, NC at 10 am. {What will “Trek” mean for your chapter? Does your route have a set distance? Add in location and time.} Fun trophies for the top three fundraisers and a spirit prize will be awarded. There will also be face painting, food trucks, kids on Amtrykes, and lots of fun activities! {add in trophy and day-of-event activities, etc.} Trek 4 Trykes registration is only $20 but we encourage every “Trekker” to raise $100 or more in pledges from their friends, family and community connections - so we can get more riders rolling. Every Trekker and day-ofevent volunteer will receive an awesome event t-shirt. Day-of-event registration is available, but Trekkers who register after February 25 cannot be guaranteed a t-shirt. {Make sure the date gives you time to order the sizes you need and for us to ship them to you…and to have them printed on the back if you choose. We did a month from event date} The Piedmont Chapter of AMBUCS, a nationwide 501c3 charity dedicated to Creating Mobility & Independence for People with Disabilities, will host the event. All pledges are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. Right now 37 children with disabilities from the Triad area are waiting for funding for the fun and freedom of their very own Amtryke. Parents, recipients and therapists have noted that the Amtryke not only provides improved strength, tone and coordination but also confidence and positive peer interaction. Learn more by visiting www.Trek4Trykes.org and then come join in the fun! You’ll find directions for setting up your free Crowdrise account there too. Questions? Contact name, phone, email. 2. Your chapter’s logo (if you want it included). 3. Any images you would like to include or we can use some of our favorite images instead. 4. A relevant, short and interesting video link (youtube or vimeo, etc.) if your chapter would like to share one.
