The Skills Show, the nation’s largest
skills and careers event, is helping to
shape the future of a new generation.
Attracting over 75,000 visitors, the
show provides hands-on experiences
that inspire young people to explore
further education, skills and
Apprenticeships.





• The Building – including bricklaying,
carpentry, gardening, plumbing …
• The Studio – including digital and gaming,
design, fashion, film, music …
• The Works – including automotive,
mechanical engineering, mobile robotics,
welding …
• The Business – including banking, insurance,
IT support, web development …
• The Street – culinary arts, hairdressing, retail,
floristry …






You will need to get into the North hall by
8:20am and into your ‘fire lines’.
You will be registered at 8:25.
Latecomers will not be welcome on the trip.
Each tutor group will be led onto a coach and
counted on by their tutor (or ‘tutor for the day’)
The coach will be leaving at 8:30!
You will be given a card with Phone numbers
on it.







You will be assigned a coach there is no changing
coaches.
Phone numbers will need to be given to a member
of staff on the coach.
You are not allowed to eat on the coach so make
sure you have eaten breakfast.
Music must be kept in headphones and noise kept
to a minimum.
Seatbelts are a legal requirement so must be worn
at all times.
Journey around 2 hours.
When we arrive you will need to remain in your
seats until told to get up.







Once we arrive at the NEC there will be security
checks which will take some time to get through.
Bags
After the security checks you will need to register
with your tutor before leaving the main foyer.
You will be allowed to explore the show in your
own groups.
You will then need to register with your tutor at
the main foyer between 12:30 and 1:00
You will need to register again at 2:00 before we
leave.
We will return to school at around 4:30pm








