something they perform in their own language. Everybody participated. They enjoy
playing doctors. (Let’s make a sound) They liked adding more sounds.

story very funny.
They feel satisfied with the product they get after having done something and they
enjoy showing it.
They like playing doctors and patients. They liked very much the hiccups sound.
Miss Polly: Because they have performed the rhyme and decorated and stuck it in
their song book. Because it was funny for them. Because of the miming involved.

Because it was as if they did not understand the
difference between both terms. The cards are not
clear enough.
Because they were not sure about the answers. Lack of time
and difficult language.
Because it was very difficult for them. They are able to
associate the sickness and the remedy but they don’t mind if
they are natural or medicine.

The cards about the good and bad manners are lots of them but they are very small to

The remedies and the illness are quite a lot too.

I find sometimes that the material is difficult e.g. 5 year-olds cannot reproduce sentences
such as “I’ve got tummy ache” or “I’ve got a headache”.

I was in a hurry when I started this unit because the school year was going to finish so I just
told them the story, the song Miss Dolly and the booklet but we didn’t finish the booklet. So this
school year we started the class finishing the booklet and working with the song (performing it,
it is the first song in their new song book.)
They enjoyed doing the cards because the pictures were attractive.
I found a very big difference between children’s level and the level of content. I hadn’t time to
prepare the unit because it was in June.
It could be good to ask the pupils to bring natural remedies they use at home when they feel
sick. Ask the parents to collaborate.
I worked on this Unit at the end of the school year and I didn’t have enough time. I decided not
to work on the booklet because I think that the language is too difficult.
We did it at the end of the school year and we couldn’t do some activities such as Good/Bad
Manners. I consider it interesting.
I did it with 1st level. The booklet was too long for them, some children never finished. We didn’t
work on polite/impolite body sounds or Good/Bad Manners.
I consider the songs and rhymes are very interesting in this Unit. They are short, easy to
pronounce and repeat and very contextualized for the topic.
9. Have you planned any activity (related to the Unit or not) with the classroom teacher? If so,
describe it, please.

Next time I’ll try to get the parents involved in the information about remedies.
I only asked the classroom teacher to collect the tubes to make the rocket.
