Wema Bank Facebook Game Show debuts today at 945
Nigeria’s longest surviving indigenous lender Wema Bank Plc. (“Wema Bank”) today commences an
online Game Show for its customers, that will air live on the bank’s Facebook page at 9:45 pm for 24
days. Cash prizes of N90,000; N40,000 and N50,000 will be won daily on the show.
The show is a way of extending to more people, the value that Wema Bank’s new Unstructured
Supplementary Service Data (USSD) banking platform called the 945 way of life brings.
According to budde.com.au, the largest telecommunications research website, Nigeria has more than 148
million mobile subscribers and a penetration of about 107 percent, all potential users of Wema Bank’s
945 services targeted at everyone with a mobile phone who wants to live the easy life.
Each game show will last for about 10 – 15 minutes and will see the emergence of three 3 lucky winners.
To stand a chance of winning, a mobile subscriber must have used one of the services available on the
945.
“The game show is not only a way of encouraging more people to enjoy the easy life 945 offers, it also
confirms Wema Bank’s brand repositioning as an innovative bank that has evolved with the times,” said

Special guests will also be hosted on the show every day, starting today with Mr Segun Oloketuyi,
Managing Director of Wema Bank who will pick the three lucky winners on the show.
How the game works

A customer must use *945# to qualify

At 9:45 pm every day from the 14th of July, the game show will be live on the Wema Bank’s
Facebook page

The goal of the game is to reward 3 lucky people who have used the 945 platform, a day before
•
The host will call each eligible *945# user live on the show
•

A random selector engine will run on the live show during each call and select a number from 1 -
•
The Host then calls the number and lets the person know he is a potential winner
•
If the number randomly selected is 9, the person wins N90,000 instantly. If it is 4, the person
wins N40,000. If it is 5, the person wins N50,000
•
If it is not any of these numbers, the person will be asked to try again the next day
