CIRCULAR TO PARENTS – FS TO GRADE 7
Dear Parents,
‘Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds
cannot change anything’ – G. B. Shaw
We are happy to announce the following changes to be implemented in the coming
academic year 2015-’16.
We will be moving on from ICSE Curriculum to CBSE Curriculum with the Continuous
and Comprehensive Evaluation.
CBSE: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is an ever-growing board of
education which is continuously striving to bring new revolutions in the field of
education. In line to its goal of academic enhancement of a child, the board also gives
equal importance to extra-curricular activities, sports and games, life skills education
and environmental education.
Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation helps in improving student’s performance by
identifying his/her learning difficulties at regular time intervals right from the beginning
of the academic session and employing suitable remedial measures for enhancing their
learning performance. The academic year is divided into two terms ie., April to MidOctober and Mid-October to March during which CCE will be taken up as indicated

Highlighted advantages of CBSE : Competitive entrance exams at the all-India level
like IIT-JEE, AIEEE and AIPMT are completely based on the CBSE syllabus. Also, UPSC
exams conducted for civil services follow the same pattern.
Adding to the implementation of progressive curriculum, there will also be a cocurricular session planned to be conducted in the afternoon as stay-back sessions for
classes 3 upwards. KG I to Grade 2 will be given activity session during school hours.
However, the detailed schedule will be intimated shortly.
Apart from academics, we are also happy to share with you some additional areas of
enhancement being taken up with a view to broaden the horizon of all round
development of our students.

Scholastic:
Students Attendance: Students are expected to have 98% attendance on a
regular basis.
If a student is absent due to sickness, the class teacher should be informed by
email and the medical certificate can be submitted on the date of rejoining to
school.
Any leave apart from sickness will require prior permission to be obtained
from the Principal. Special permissions can be requested either through email
or by a personal appointment.
Change of books: Keeping our focus on the enrichment of curriculum, the
booklists have been revised and many innovative books have been added for
the coming academic year 2015-16.

Co-Scholastic:
Activity Oriented: The year 2015-16, is termed as activity-oriented year, filled
with the play way methods of learning. To inculcate a professional touch, in
addition to the colourful variety of activities, full time Art, Music and Dance
teachers has been appointed to enhance the overall development of our
children. Besides this, students will be offered a wider range of activities to
choose from.

Administrative:
School Canteen – Keeping in line with our belief to promote healthy food
habits, the school canteen will be better equipped with a variety of healthy
food stuff.
Improved monitoring of students using their own transport: As students
safety stands prioritized in our campus, the parents of the students using
their own transport, shall be expected to take prior permission from the
Principal in case if they wish their child to walk back home on their own. They
will be required to inform the school reception once the child reaches home.
Additional buses: In order to make travel to school a pleasant experience, the
school will be introducing four additional buses in the coming academic year.

Communication:
To keep you informed on your child’s regular activities, achievements and
updates the school plans to open more channels of communication. All
parents will have access to the school web portal EDMODO. The school face
book will be continuously updated with the latest happenings at school.
Your valuable suggestions and inputs are most welcome in making TIA-Dubai reach a
step ahead in the field of education.
Warm Regards,
Syed Ali Haider Rizvi
Principal
