Mick Thomson

Mick Thomson
Mick Thomson is the guitarist from
SlipKnoT
and he is EPIC! He plays two Ibanez
guitars which are awesome. He also plays a B.C Rich Warlock which I don’t like because they
go out of tune very easily. The band was formed in Des Moines, Iowa USA, and they named
their second album after their home state. Mick came in 1996 to replace Donnie Steele the
guitarist and that is where the band took off with Iowa, at that point they were signed by
Roadrunner Records. Mick’s first guitar was a Fender Telecaster, playing through an Airline
Tube amp, with nothing but a clean channel to play with, bearing in mind he was playing
metal. Each Slipknot member has a number, and Mick is seven, he chose this because it was
his lucky number. He has the word seven inlayed into his guitar neck. EPIC
Style
Mick plays in Slipknot, so you can guess that he plays METAL. And you are right.
METAL I TELL YOU.
METAL! But mick also plays
classical to help with his acoustic songs like Vermillion pt2 and
circle. Because mick headbangs at least at least
1,00000000,000000000 times a second he has back problems and
has once had to cancel a concert because of it.
