Did you know that
Unlicensed persons who do not have their own Medicare provider
number may only render services under the direct “over the shoulder”
supervision of a licensed provider.
Remuneration of any kind to referral sources is an illegal kickback.
Music, art, drama are not valid therapies under Medicare.
Brief or mild depressive mood following admission to a SNF is
considered a normal response, and not medically necessary until the
resident is maladaptive per the MDS.
Prescriptions and other medication decisions are limited to physicians,
ARNPs, and no one else.
