Changes to Format Please Take The Time To Read

ATTENTION PLAYERS:
It has come to my attention that a growing number of players are unhappy with GProTour’ s concept of Series Bonus
Money (SBM). There have also been some rumors that we have not been paying out what has been promised to the
players. While we do take $35 per entry at each event, that money 100% of the time is paid back out the players in the
form of series bonus money. We take great pride in being one of the ONLY tours that does exactly what has been
promised to the players.
At no point in our history have we done anything that reflects a contradiction of what we promised. This is something
that any player can work out with a calculator and a spare five minutes.
We have been fortunate enough to double our size each season and this year marks that same feat. With such sudden
growth, GProTour and myself personally are learning each week that life is a never-ending learning curve.
Series bonus money was created at the same time GProTour was created. Our field sizes were small and the system
offered our players a unique approach to professional golf. Our concept was to entice players back weekly with a chance
of winning a larger prize for consistent play. As our field sizes grew, and especially this year, we began internal
discussions about modifying the format. We feared that first place for SBM could potentially succeed a single 36-hole
event’s first place.
We have not been a tour to change policies on our players. I firmly believe that a tour must stand behind what it puts
into effect at the start of the season and carry that through. With that said, the increased field sizes have present ed a
problem for SBM and I believe that the tour has now outgrown that format. Players have been kind enough to voice
their support for a move away from this format. At the conclusion of series three, we will cease to run series bonus
money.
The professional landscape has changed so much over the past few years with the introduction of a new qualifying
school, PGALatinoAmerica and Canadian Tours, that more players are travelling further to Monday Qualify, so the
concept of a series has become more of a burden than a bonus.
I created this tour because I was unhappy with practices of past tours. I believe a successful tour is created and
maintained with true openness and honesty with its players. Each week, my staff strive to provide the most professional,
reliable and trustworthy tour this country has to offer. I truly believe that we have created a tour, by the players, for the
players, and I want nothing more than players to be satisfied.
GProTour has become a successful tour because of you. Each of you have recommended us to a friend, family member
or acquaintance. Those recommendations have helped to create larger and larger fields. The future for GProTour is in
your hands. Help us to grow this platform. Spread the word that we are a tour that is learning, just like you, a tour that
will always do right by its players and will strive to create the best possible scenarios for you to grow both as a person
and golfer.
I really appreciate each of you taking the time to read this and helping GProTour grow into the platform we all long it to
be.
