Sir John Jones is one of the leading experts in school leadership and creativity who had his achievements
recognised in the New Year’s Honours List (2003) by the Queen. One of the most entertaining, inspiring and
sought-after speakers on the global educational stage, his achievements and reputation for straight-talking,
leadership and creativity have led him to be invited on to a number of panels and think- tanks. John is also the
author of best-selling book “The Magic-Weaving Business” and co-author of “Winning the H factor: The Secrets of
Happy School”.
Dr. Marcia L. Tate, is the former Executive Director of Professional Development for the DeKalb County School
System, Decatur, Georgia. During her 30-year career with the district, she has been a classroom teacher, reading
specialist, language arts coordinator, and staff development executive director. She received the 2001
Distinguished Staff Developer Award for the State of Georgia. Marcia is currently an educational consultant and
has taught over 500,000 administrators, teachers, parents, and business and community leaders throughout the
world. She is the author of the following eight best-sellers of the 'Worksheets Don’t Grow Dendrites' Series.
Participants in her workshops refer to them as the best ones they have ever experienced since Marcia uses the
20 strategies outlined in her books to actively engage her audiences.
Dr. Heidi Hayes Jacobs is founder and president of the Curriculum Designers Group, providing professional
services to schools and organizations internationally to upgrade curriculum and support teaching strategies to
meet the needs of 21st century learners. Dr. Jacobs’s models on curriculum mapping and curriculum design have
been featured in her eleven books and are the basis for software solutions used throughout the world. Working
with a range of organizations, Jacobs has online courses with PBS Teacherline and PD360 and has consulted to
groups ranging from international, national, state and provincial education departments, professional
organizations such as ASCD, NAESP, Learning Forward, the European Council of International Schools, the
College Board, ADK International Sino-Canadian Schools in China, New Zealand’s Learning NetworK, the
Kennedy Center, and AASA’s Collaborative Project focused on innovation. In 2014 she received the MAIS
International Educator Award.
Dr. Thomas Guskey is Professor of Educational Psychology at the University of Kentucky. He began his career
as a middle school teacher, served as an administrator in Chicago Public Schools, and was the first Director of
the Center for the Improvement of Teaching and Learning, a national educational research center. Dr. Guskey
served on the Policy Research Team of the National Commission on Teaching & America’s Future, on the Task
Force to develop the first National Standards for Professional Learning, and was named a Fellow in the American
Educational Research Association – one of the Association’s highest honors. He is the author/editor of 21 awardwinning books and more than 250 book chapters and articles that have appeared in prominent research journals
as well as Educational Leadership, Kappan, and School Administrator.
Deb Masters is the Global Director of Visible Learning Plus, a world-renowned research initiative by Prof. John
Hattie. Through her extensive experience in primary and secondary teaching, Deb has a background in
assessment, previously holding a senior assessment role with the Ministry of Education in Wellington. Deb also
has an in-depth knowledge of e-asTTle and has been closely involved in its development since 2002. Deb has
responsibility for developing the Visible Learning professional development model in partnership with John Hattie.
She is also heavily involved in developing Visible Learning training and support materials, training Visible
Learning facilitators and in delivering Visible Learning training globally.
These world-acclaimed presenters recognized for their work internationally will bring together a wide variety of
impactful presentations and successful case studies, suitable for all levels of school/educational leadership
