For business banking queries, lines are open Monday to Friday 7.30am to 9pm, and 8am to 2pm on Saturdays Before you use Android Pay for the first time you need to have the app installed on your device. Android Pay comes pre-loaded on several devices, however if your device doesn’t have it, it can be downloaded from Google Play™. To download the app, your device has to have Near Field Communication (NFC) wireless data functionality and be running on Android™ 4.4 (KitKat®) or higher. Once registered, you can use your Android™ device to make contactless payments at terminals in store, within participating apps and on London’s transport system, including the Underground and buses. Follow the easy steps below to get started. All Santander debit and credit cards work with Android Pay except the following: ATM only cash cards ■ Business VISA Electron cards ■ Santander corporate cards ■ Basic Bank Account Visa Top-up Debit Card ■ Register a Santander card with Android Pay 1. O pen the Android Pay app on your device 2. Click on the + icon in the bottom right corner of the screen. Then click on ‘Add a credit or debit card’ Page 2 of 4 3. Use a card already stored in your Google Account or enter the details of the new card you want to register. You can either capture the details from the card using the camera or enter them manually. 5. Read and accept the Android Pay Terms and Conditions 4. Enter the card expiry date, CVC number and your address. Click ‘Save’ at the bottom of the page. 6. Before using Android Pay you may need to set-up a screen lock option if you do not have one already on your device Page 3 of 4 7. C hoose how you would like to verify your card from the methods available 8. Enter the verification code that was sent to you 9. Your card is now ready to use with Android Pay How to pay with Android Pay Paying in-store Android Pay can be used in any store that accepts contactless payments. You may see one of these symbols at the checkout ■ Ensure NFC is turned on in your phone’s settings ■ Then simply wake up your phone and hold it to the contactless terminal ■ Occasionally you may be asked to unlock your device for some transactions ■ Some retailers will limit individual payments to £30 ■ Please note, if you wake up your phone but don’t open the Android Pay app, your default card will be used to take payment. ■ Paying in-app Selected apps now accept Android Pay for in-app purchases ■ Look for one of these buttons during checkout ■ Page 4 of 4 Santander is able to provide literature in alternative formats.
