DR. JOHNSTON
CISD will create a survey that will be available on Oct. 20 th. She encourages everyone to go the district
meeting about school finance. Dr. Johnston spoke on how the district is looking at different ways to do
things to make the best use of the finances that the district has.
Red Ribbon Week at the end of the month
Play it forward- 1st priority to help the needs of kids in Southlake with sports equipment.
Staff Luncheon will be Nov. 17 th at 1pm.

Dr. Johnston will be taking two 3 rd grader and two 4 th grade teachers to conference about the new STAR

Bake-off entry fee of $5, children baking the items. Winners will receive raffle tickets for Principal of the
Day. Live auction will start at 6:15pm: College Logo Banner hung in gym, R anger Suite for 20 and throw
out 1 st pitch, Southlake Fireman or Policeman for the day 9am-3pm, front row parking spot, design
yearbook cover for 2011-12, and design field day tshirt.
Spirit Shop is doing very well.
Sunday , Oct. 17 th- is the start of the online auction and it will end on the 24th. The auction will include
the normal teacher for the day, name the hallways, etc. There is also a new page this year of buy it now
items that is a wish list of items that OUES staff asked for.

Ellen went through the numbers on the Treasurer report. Ellen told how the c lass party monies are
distributed. All the party money that is collected is divided evenly among each of the classrooms at
OUES.
