There are four basic criteria which include: – – – – 1. 2. 3. 4. graduation from high school minimum core grade-point average minimum ACT or SAT scores completion of 16 core courses • Planning for college and college athletics begins in grade nine in order to complete the core courses. (If you know which specific pathway you wish to enter, please check that as well.) • Look at the courses in your cluster and choose which ones you wish to take. • Write them and circle them on your registration sheet. PATHWAY OPTIONS • This makes up the remaining credits needed to total seven in this area. • Should you choose a completer such as one at the School of Technology, you will earn most, if not all, of your credits by completing those courses. What do I want to take in the future? • If there are courses that you want to take but are not able to until your junior or senior year, please make sure to check the prerequisites and get them in your sophomore schedule! • List the courses you wish to take before you graduate on your registration sheet. • Follow teacher recommendations for course selection. • Get involved in school activities. • Talk with your parents about your schedule • Ask questions!!! • HAVE FUN!!
