from the European Union within the EURED Program, which is implemented from
CARE International Balkans (office in Kosovo, in partnership with CARE Germany Luxembourg) in partnership with Municipality of Gjilan and ATRC, and conform
activities of the project, the Municipality of Gjilan announces this:

Job Title: Business Centre Manager
Project: Support to Agribusiness of the Gjilan/Gnjilane Region
Donor: European Union
Implemented by: CARE International Balkans, Kosovo office
Place(s) of work: Gjilan
Contract Duration: 13 months (as per the duration of the project)
Expected start date: As soon as possible
Job Summary:
CARE International Balkans, office in Kosovo, in partnership with CARE Germany-Luxembourg is implementing the
project Support to Agribusiness of the Gjilan/Gnjilane Region funded by European Union.
The action will be implemented by CARE in cooperation with partners: Municipality of Gjilan/Gnjilane and
Advocacy Training and Resource Centre – ATRC and it seeks to contribute to economic regeneration and creation
of favorable conditions for business development in Gjilan/Gnjilane region.
Main tasks and duties (the list is not exhaustive):
 Support flow and dissemination of the information to interested agribusiness
 Organise workshops and other group training for businesses and farmers
 Undertake Monitoring and Evaluation activities
 Liaise with other organisations providing support to the respective sector
 Provide “ad hoc” advice to the agribusinesses seeking advice
 Monitor and supervise the project capacity building and job placement activities
 Closely cooperate and report to CARE’s and its project partners
Education and qualification:
 University degree, preferably in Economic Development, Marketing or Agri-business
 Proven leadership and management qualities in the area of economic development and agribusiness
 Proven ability to liaise successfully with representatives of civil society, government structures, donor
community and private business.
 Strong familiarity with economic development programming and agribusiness
 Excellent knowledge of the social, political and economic landscape in Kosovo and the Balkans as a whole.
Specific professional experience:
 At least 3 years of work experience in field of economic development, agro-business or similar fields
 Experience of working in capacity building of small and medium businesses

Technical skills:
 Excellent oral and written communication skills in Albanian and Serbian (English would be considered as
an advantage)
 Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong capacity for effective teamwork, as well as the
ability to work independently; strong relationship-building skills
 Evidence of strong analytical skills
 Computer literacy, including facility with Word, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications
Job Title: Business Centre Assistant

 Collect information from the relevant stakeholders on the developments in agriculture
 Update the Business Centre web portal with information
 Provide support to the job placement project activities
 Deal with the administrative issues of the Business Centre
 Closely cooperate and report to the Business Centre Manager
 Conduct other works given by the Project Management
Education and qualification:
 Bachelor degree preferably in Economic Development, Marketing, Agro-business or Law University
Specific professional experience:

Working experience in economic development field

Deadline for application:
The deadline for application is from 29th of January until 06th of February 2015. Applications (documents) should be
submitted in the Personnel Office in the Municipality of Gjilan.
Required documents for application are: CV, Motivation Letter and University Diploma.
