Sub: Invitation to participate in ‘GINKGO: Inter – College UG Biodiversity Quiz Competition’ (22nd Feb.
2017)
Dear Sir / Madam,
Department of Biodiversity is organizing an ‘Inter-college Biodiversity Quiz Competition- GINKGO’ on
22ndFeb. 2017. This competition is open to all UG students. We welcome participation of students from
Botany,
Zoology,
Biotechnology,
Microbiology,
Environmental
Science,
Geography,
Geology,
Agriculture, Forestry and Chemistry Department(s) of your college. We will be rewarding top three
teams with attractive prizes. Certificate of participation will also be given to all the participants.
Maximum five teams per college will be allowed to participate, each team comprising of three students.
Participation norms and registration details are attached herewith for your kind perusal.
The contest will have an elimination round. Selection for the final round will be based on the aggregate
team’s score from elimination round. The qualifying teams will appear for the final round on the same
day.
We look forward for the active participation of your students in this unique competition.
Kindly confirm your registration on or before 17th February 2017 for smooth conduct of the event.

RULES
 Maximum 5 entries per college are allowed
 Each team consists of 3 undergraduate students
 UG
Students
from
Botany,
Zoology,
Biotechnology,
Microbiology,
Environmental Science, Geography, Geology, Agriculture, Forestry and
Chemistry Departments can participate.
 Entry Fee: Rs. 100/- per team
 Send entries on or before 17th Feb 2017.
 Elimination round for quiz will be held on 22nd Feb 2017 at 11:00 am.
Participants should report at 10:15 am at the Biodiversity department.
 Top teams will be selected for the final round.
 Team composition has to be constant throughout the competition.
 Decision of the Juries will be final.
 Student must carry their I-card for elimination and final round of quiz.
Otherwise the team will be disqualified.
