• Artificial turf has gave over 200 soccer players cancer
• Hodgkin, brain and lung cancer, lymphoma, any time that involves with the blood and predominater
• Many soccer head quarters have been aware and is changing it.
ARTIFICAL TURF IS CONSIDER “SAFE” BUT ITS ACTUALLY
MORE OF A HAZARD!
• Here are the five star players who’ve been injured
recently on artificial turf:
• Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints quarterback,
shoulder.
• Here are the three star players who’ve been
injured recently on natural grass:
• Dez Bryant, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver,
shoulder.
• Davante Adams, Green Bay Packers wide
receiver, ankle.
• Julio Jones, Atlanta Falcons wide receiver,

ARTIFICIAL TURF
• Almost anything used as a carpet backing has been used for the backing material, from jute to plastic to
polyester. High quality artificial turf uses polyester tire cord for the backing. The fibers that make up the
blades of "grass" are made of nylon or polypropylene and can be manufactured in different ways.

Mt. Sinai Children’s Environmental Health Center has written: “Exposures to chemicals present in crumb
rubber at very high levels, typical of animal or occupational studies, are known to cause birth defects,
neurologic and developmental deficits, and some can even cause cancer.

metals.
