Qualifying for Champs 2017 Qualifying Criteria can be found on the USPC website and in the Discipline Rulebooks Eventing First a member must meet the Qualifying Criteria and complete a Regional Championships Intent Form. To qualify for Championships, a rider must have completed (without elimination in any phase) two HTs. These two HTs can be your region’s Eventing Rally and one recognized USEA HT. One of the competitions must be clear of any cross country jumping penalties and the other may have no more than 20 cross country jumping penalties. Using the exception process outlined on the USPC website, the RS may request that two recognized HTs in addition to participation in HM at a Qualifying rally may be used to qualify. Competitor and horse must qualify as a horse/rider combination at both events listed above. Qualifying scores for members can be from the 11 months prior to the deadline Dressage First a member must meet the Qualifying Criteria and complete a Regional Championships Intent Form. In addition to the following requirements, to compete in Dressage Championships, a member must be a minimum of 12 years of age and a D-3 (Dressage, Flat/ Traditional, or HSE). Selections to the Championships team will be decided by criteria established by the Annual Dressage Newsletter, the Dressage Rulebook, and any regional requirements published. All individual Horse Management penalties must be included in the qualifying scores used to select competitors for Championships. . Training through Fourth Level: To qualify for a team, a rider must ride Test 2 and Test 3 plus a Freestyle, Pas de Deux, or Quadrille Freestyle of the level. At Championships, a rider will ride Test 2 and Test 3, plus a Freestyle, a Pas de Deux, or a Quadrille Freestyle of the level. For Championships, a competitor must earn a 60% or higher score on Test 3 of their competition level at the qualifying rally. Games First a member must meet the Qualifying Criteria and complete a Regional Championships Intent Form. Each individual Pony Club member who desires to compete at Championships must compete in a Qualifying Regional Rally, and be judged in Horse Management at the same level in which they intend to compete at Championships. This constitutes the “individual qualification” of the rider/pony combination. Team formation follows the individual qualification, and the various criteria for team formation: A properly formed team (See Article 19), consisting of the same rider/pony combinations which properly qualified at its Qualifying Regional Rally and remains intact, will represent its region at Championships. The rider must ride the same pony that he/she rode at the Qualifying Regional Rally to be considered a rider/pony combination. Championships will involve those teams that have won at the regional level. A second-place team may attend if (1) the first-place team is unable to attend, or (2) if space is available. Teams must qualify in their own regional competition. Quiz First a member must meet the Qualifying Criteria and complete a Regional Championships Intent Form. All competitors must have qualified in a Qualifying Regional Quiz Rally within the 12 months preceding the Championships. To be eligible to qualify for Championships, all competitors must have obtained their D-2 certifications prior to competing in their Regional Quiz Rally and must compete as a D-2 or higher. Championship qualifiers who certify between Regional Quiz Rally and Championships will compete at the level at which they qualified. Qualifiers do not have to qualify together as a team. Composition of Teams: Each Region may determine the criteria for qualification and selection of team members. A Junior D who qualifies on a Senior D team has the option of competing on a Junior D team or a Senior D team. A Junior C who qualifies on a Senior C team has the option of competing on a Junior C team or a Senior C team. Show Jumping First a member must meet the Qualifying Criteria and complete a Regional Championships Intent Form. USPC Championships include the following divisions and levels: Introductory, Developing Horse/Rider, Modified (which includes Large Pony and Horse I), and Regular (which includes Horse II, Horse III, and Horse IV). Riders in regional rallies competing for a chance to ride in the USPC Championships must be challenged over a minimum of three courses, including two courses in which a portion of the fences are set to the maximum first round height and spread for that level as given in the specifications (see Appendix I). One of the rounds must have an equitation score. At the Championship Rally, the rider and the same mount will compete at the level at which they have qualified at a regional Show Jumping rally. Any rider who has been eliminated for any reason in any round at a qualifying will not be eligible for the Championship Rally. The Show Jumping Committee requires that qualifiers have no more than 12 jumping faults over three qualifying rounds at their qualifying rally. (Time faults are not included.) TET First a member must meet the Qualifying Criteria and complete a Regional Championships Intent Form To compete at the National Championship a competitor must have competed at a Regional or Inter-Regional Qualifying Rally in the Novice, Intermediate, Junior, or Senior Division At Championships, only Juniors and Seniors may ride down a level. The competitor who rides down at the Regional Qualifying Rally, must also do so at Championships, and incur the 200-point penalty for doing so To compete at Championships, Senior and Junior competitors must compete in all four phases of a qualifying rally and attain a total score for the four phases and Horse Management of not less than 2400 points. Intermediate and Novice competitors must compete in all four phases of a Qualifying Rally and attain a total score for the four phases and Horse Management of not less than 2200 points. A competitor will not qualify for Championships if eliminated or disqualified in any phase of the competition, or if he/she receives a score of less than 550 in the riding phase Where to find out info?
