Withdrawing a team

BUCScore Guide: Withdrawing a team
If the situation arises that you need to withdraw a team from the BUCS leagues, you will need to follow these steps in
order to formally withdraw the team.
1)
Request the withdrawal formally through BUCScore.
In your BUCScore admin page, click on the ‘Manage Team Entries’ tab in the left hand column. Then click on the cog
(edit) icon next to the entry set you wish to request the withdrawal from. (In most cases this will be the overall entry set
for this season, but some entries like Outdoor Cricket will have their own entry set).
Once you have clicked into the current entry set, you will see all of the sports that you currently have teams entered
into, and the cost of the teams.
At the bottom of the screen you will see a ‘Request Entries Adjustment’ tab. Click here to request an adjustment to
your current entry set.
Firstly you will need to select the correct sport from the drop-down list:
Next you will need to adjust the number of teams entered, and provide a quick reason for the withdrawal. (Please do
enter information on this screen as we can use this to determine reasons why we receive withdrawals). Note that you
must ensure the total entries line reflects the number of teams you wish to still have entered into BUCS.
Once you click ‘submit change request’ your withdrawal request will be sent directly to the BUCS Office, where we can
begin the process of removing the team from the fixtures and the league.
2)
Notify the other teams in the league, including any cup opposition.
Once you have requested the withdrawal through BUCScore, you will need to notify the other teams within the league.
You must notify the main Athletic Union administrator contact as listed within BUCScore.
3)
The team are now withdrawn.
Once you have requested the withdrawal through BUCScore, and have notified the opposing teams, the team will be
fully withdrawn from BUCScore. If the team wish to re-enter the BUCS leagues next season, they will be moved into
the next league down (IE relegated). Once the fixtures have gone live (usually in July), any teams withdrawing from
BUCS leagues will lose their entry fee (see BUCS regulation 3.2.4). Please also be aware that any teams withdrawing
from BUCS leagues where they are also involved in the Championship or Trophy knockout will be subject to a fine
(see BUCS regulations 12.9.3, 12.9.4 & 12.9.5).
