Children in Need: Coin bags have been issued in registration folders today for collecting ‘dress as you
please’ donations. Thank you
Toilets It has come to our attention that the entire contents of toilet paper holders are being taken out and
strewn across cubicle floors or put down the toilet. This must stop immediately. We will be checking records /
CCTV etc to identify who is doing this. Anyone caught doing this will be severely dealt with.
Fitness sessions provided by ‘Fast program’ will start on Monday after school 3.30 -4.30 Anyone interested
should sign up at the PE department
Music Magpie: As the festive season will soon be upon us, it’s time to make some space for new Christmas
presents! Can I ask all pupils and staff to have a quick rummage around your houses and rooms to see if you
have any old CD’s, DVD’S, computer games, old phones or games consoles that you no longer play with??
We can swap these for cash towards the school fund. Volume is the important thing. We will accept anything!
So please get hunting and bring anything you can find to Mr Baker’s room in G23. Please dig deep and help
us to boost school funds! Many thanks. Mr Baker and S6 Fundraising committee. (MB)
School Football: Senior team and Under 14’s (S1/2)will be playing home ties against Fortrose Academy
next Friday with a 2pm kick off projected for both games. Seniors will be on grass and Under 14’s on the
astro-turf. Can I ask all senior and Under 14’s players to confirm availability for these fixtures as soon as
possible please to Mr Baker or Mr Robertson!! Thanks (MB/CR)

The Big Inter-House Book Quiz is a week today!
Do not miss this exciting finish to Book Week Scotland a week today, Friday 25th, with 6 teams in a QuickFire Quiz in the library at lunchtime. Hosted by Mr McWhirter and led by House Leaders. Can the staff team
be beaten? Can Gordon House make it a hat trick? We shall have music, tartan, books and fun, so make
sure you are there to support the teams and join in with it all.
Alice Through The Looking Glass – brand new Film Club begins on Monday
See Alice battle the evil Red Queen to help her friends in this gripping film. All starting at 3.30pm in the
library.
Book of The Month - The Novelties Book Club have selected the book Bomber by Paul Dowswell as
their book of the month and recommend it as one to read. Try it for Book Week Scotland next week.

Scotland 6 Nations Rugby matches - The school is planning trips to Edinburgh to watch Scotland play
rugby against Ireland Wales or Italy.
If you want to go to Murrayfield to see Scotland play, see Mr Kelly in G13, Mr Tsotsi in B27 or Ms Gardiner in
PE for an information sheet.
Ticket orders must be in by Friday Nov 25th.

S3 Transition to the Senior Phase: Letters issued to parents in registration folders today. Thank you
S2 IDL Connections Day On Wednesday 23rd November all S2 pupils will be taking part in an S2 IDL
project periods 1 to 6. Students should report to the hall straight after registration on Wednesday morning
and sit in their register classes, where they will be given information about the day ahead.
S1 MidYis Testing
This will take place on Thursday 17th, Friday 18th and Monday 21st November.
Could the following classes please report to G45 on Friday 18th November at the following times –

National 5 Maths Revision Classes S4/5/6 In the run up to the prelims, National 5 Maths sessions will run
after school in G39 with Mr Davies (Maths Teacher), covering different topics each week. The first session
will run on Wednesday 23rd November at 3.30pm on EQUATION OF A STRAIGHT LINE. This is separate
from the Thursday Maths study club.
