Subject: Promotion policy for Class VI to VIII and supplementary examination
Class IX and XI.
Madam/Sir,
In the light of CCE implementation and RTE Act, no child will be detained up to
Class VIII. However, appearing in SA-II examination is mandatory; hence, the children who
did not attend SA-II examination from Class VI to VIII due to medical grounds or any other
genuine grounds will have to re-appear to SA-II examination conducted at school level. The
syllabus for such re-test will be only 2nd term (October 2010 to March 2011). The time table
for the re-test may be decided by the concerned Principals. However, the final results should
be declared on or before 30th April 2011.
As regards, the supplementary examination/re-test for Class IX & XI, the Assistant
Commissioners are requested to fix a common date sheet for all the schools under their
jurisdiction. The setting up of the Question Papers/Evaluation may be done at regional level
by the Assistant Commissioners. However, the final results should be declared on or before
30th April 2011.
This may be communicated to all the Principals under your jurisdiction immediately.
This issues with the approval of the Competent Authority.
