Capture a complete view of Enterprise
Mobility—in just one day
To move into the world of Enterprise Mobility, you
need to clearly understand your mobility solution
components and how to best apply them to solve
business problems—while integrating smoothly
into your existing environment. Interactive by
design, the one-day HP Mobility Transformation
Workshop can help you meet these objectives. Our
senior HP consultants and mobility experts use
highly informative visual displays to facilitate an
active discussion and also share what they have
learned from experience.
By working with your team of senior IT
decision-makers and selected key stakeholders,
HP facilitators create an environment that
aligns key initiatives and priorities. Ultimately,
the goal of the workshop is to enable faster
decision-making and cross-team collaboration.
So you can shape your own Enterprise Mobility
path and ensure IT takes a leadership role in
delivering new business value.
The dominance of Enterprise IT as the sole provider of end-user productivity services is
over. The explosion in mobile devices, apps, and connectivity has given rise to the era of
consumerization. While our consumer persona merges with our corporate one, as end users
we can no longer comply with IT security and governance concerns. And we end up finding our
own solutions to productivity requirements. Today, these solutions are predominantly sourced
from within the consumer marketplace. Corporate data is leaving the enterprise and finding its
way into consumer cloud services accessed by a multitude of devices, apps, and communication
channels. These channels are all aggregated by end users to perform their jobs and contribute
to their communities. The real pressure on IT today is to find ways to re-engage with this new
end user with new “systems of engagement”—one that can compete with the consumer
benchmark and re-align IT services to deliver compelling experiences.
Without driving a transformation aligned to the pressure of mobility and social, Enterprise IT will
increasingly lose relevance to the business. The consumer persona will increasingly move away
from the traditional IT supply model and migrate productivity onto consumer cloud-connected
services. To remain relevant, Enterprise IT environments must undergo a transformation. With
the HP Mobility Transformation Workshop, HP is ready to help your organization make the leap.
Are you ready for this mobility transformation?
You are in good company if you’re still unsure about the best way to begin your mobility
journey, calculate the return on investment, and plan for potential risks. All services are not
created equal. Each organization has its own needs around performance, security, control, and
availability. So you’ll need to understand where and how you can most effectively apply mobile
computing to your organization’s portfolio of services.
At HP, we have made it our business to help you grasp all aspects of Enterprise Mobility—from
the overall landscape to the precise strategy you need to adopt mobility services. And the
HP Mobility Transformation Workshop is the ideal starting point.
Shape your own mobility strategy
A successful mobility strategy begins by focusing on your business priorities and outcomes.
It starts with business value, as you ask:
•Why should I concern myself with consumer social and collaboration services?
•How can I define the change initiative? What are key success factors?
•What are the transformation steps I need to take?
•How do I promote the use of “bring your own device” and make the most of it?
•How do I transform my Windows® client and applications portfolio to be more available to this
proliferation of highly mobile end-points?
•Where do I start with building a strategy to include the development of new mobile apps?
•Will these services be secure enough to protect business data?
•Will the IT organization be able to still meet regulation and compliance needs?
•Where can I apply new technologies to make the biggest difference?
•What mobility technologies do I need to integrate?
•How can I integrate my communication and collaboration systems with those of my partners
and customers?
•How do I enable my users to connect from a variety of devices and from a variety of locations
while still protecting my network?
•What are the best practices; how are other HP customers responding?

P Mobility Transformation Workshop
Experience your mobility transformation
Mobility radically changes the way your infrastructures, applications, and processes are
presented and consumed. It enables you to quickly deliver highly scalable and flexible
technology-enabled services over the Internet or your corporate network.
In the HP Mobility Transformation Workshop, we:
•Cover the components required to build a mobility strategy
•Help you gain clarity on mobility concepts
•Identify the initiatives that can work for your business
•Discuss how HP Converged Infrastructure can lay the foundation for mobility
•Draw actionable next steps
Before you can unlock the potential of a mobile workforce, you need to understand its critical
success factors, benefits, and challenges. And you need to map out a mobility path that is
specifically designed to support your business and technology goals—now and in the future.
We can help you do just that—taking you through the most relevant mobility topics as part of
the workshop experience:
•Set the scene—Spend time examining the pressures that are driving this transformation,
both from an external as well as an internal perspective.
•Unlock productivity—The typical enterprise today has spent decades investing in the
Windows client and the thousands of applications driving today’s productivity. Any strategy
targeted at improving end-user productivity must include a review of how to release this
productivity and make it more universally available.
•Accelerate productivity—The ability to realize net-new productivity depends on the
integration of mobile technologies into an overall mobility strategy. However, compelling,
consumer-based services now dominate this touch-centric, connected experience. Adapt to
and embrace this trend by securely delivering enterprise-grade services that meet, or exceed,
this benchmark.
•Enable communities—A mobile-enabled communication and collaboration strategy is more
than deploying good technology; it’s also about both structured and dynamic interactions
among people and functions. How will your mobility strategy enable people to connect and
collaborate in new ways?
•Deliver connectivity—The explosion of Wi-Fi and cellular coverage, capacity, and
performance is enabling a more connected workforce consuming more network resources.
Being able to rapidly provision and manage this unpredictable demand requires a new
approach to networking, making it transparent to the user.
