At the first session the HT provider does an assessment of your energy fields. The provider will ask a series of questions about the your physical, mental and emotional situation and will answer any questions. During this session the client is covered with sheets or blankets. The session will occur in your hospital room. During your session we will provide a quiet environment. The provider will gently place their hands slightly above or on the client. The session generally lasts 30-45 minutes. People frequently report feeling deeply relaxed and peaceful during the session. There is a cumulative effect of using Healing Touch over time. What You Should Look for in a Healing Touch Practitioner After Leaving the Hospital •Look for a Healing Touch Practitioner who has level II training or higher. Ask the practitioner about his or her training and experience. •It is preferable to find a practitioner who has experience caring for individuals who have been under recent medical care. •Tell the Healing Touch practitioner about your medical conditions and any special care you may need. •If the practitioner has questions about how to safely provide a session he or she may ask to talk to your healthcare provider. In this case you would need to sign a permission form. •Most insurance companies do not cover Healing Touch services. You may expect to pay on average between $50-$65 for a treatment. •If you are looking for a practitioner in your local community, you can start by searching for Healing Touch followed by your city and state. There are some national organizations that list practitioners but they might not be inclusive of all available practitioners in your area. http://www.healingtouchinternational.org/index. php?option=com_content&task=view&id=2&Itemid=240 http://www.healingtouchprogram.com/about/what-is-healingtouch http://www.htprofessionalassociation.com/ http://iarp.org/ http://www.htpractitioner.com/ How Can I Set Up an Appointment?
