Champions’ Arena Project

peak moment when you step
into the arena and realize
you are ALREADY A CHAMPION.
The Manheim Farm Show livestock committee wants to let you know about our plans to
make the future livestock shows better than ever. Although we think we have always had a
pretty good show over the last sixty-three years, there is always room for improvement, and
one space that’s overdue for an upgrade is the livestock show and sale ring. Plans are currently
being made for the 2017 Manheim Farm Show to improve the safety, view, and comfort for our
showmen, animals, spectators and buyers. Our plans for the new show and sale ring area
includes; a higher ceiling for better views, new bleachers for visitor safety and comfort, a
larger show ring for improved animal exhibition, a new outdoor walkway and entrances for the
safer flow of people, and designated livestock only entry and exit alleyways for the smoother
flow of showmen and their animals from the barns to the ring. Construction is planned to be
completed by the end of July.
We have decided to name the Manheim Farm Show renovated show and sale ring
Champions’ Arena as a way to honor and celebrate all of those who have shown and sold
animals here in years past and in the future. We are celebrating the lessons our exhibitors
have learned getting to the ring and at the shows and sale night. We are hoping you’ll have
great pride in paying it forward to those who will be showing at the Manheim Farm Show in the
future. The FFA and 4-H programs have helped many people get a great start in life, and have
taught the participants many lessons that will benefit them greatly throughout their lives. It is
important that we do our part to ensure the continued success of these programs, and one way
we can help is to improve the area where the shows and sales occur.
