City of Compton Department of Parks and Recreation Youth Indoor

Welcome,
The City of Compton’s Parks & Recreation Department’s Youth Indoor Soccer League is
designed for the sole purpose of providing fundamental instruction at an introductory level for
the game of Soccer. Our mission is to introduce and teach kids the basic skills and concepts of
Soccer while having fun, as well as encouraging good sportsmanship, physical fitness, and
competitiveness, in a safe environment.
Sports and activities play integral roles in the development of a child. Sports will
provide physical training, develop mental toughness, and teach the child the essentials of
teamwork and sportsmanship. Sports can also be instrumental in building lifelong relationships
with teammates, coaches, and the community. New passions and opportunities can be
discovered, which can lead to greater self-esteem and a more realizable identity, paving the
way of success in the child’s life and the community the way of success in the child’s life and the
community.
