I FIRST TEAM Michael Davenport, Moeller The senior averaged 11.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.9 steals and 1.5 assists. He was third team all-state and first team all-district, and was GCL South player of the year for the third consecutive season. The junior averaged 15.6 points, 6.2 assists, 2.2 steals and 2.0 rebounds. He was Division II second team all-district and Southern Buckeye Conference-American player of the year. DIVISION I COACH OF THE YEAR Josh Andrews, Princeton Following the death of former coach Bill Brewer in November, first-year head coach Andrews led Princeton to an 18-6 record, a Greater Miami Conference co-championship and a district championship. DIVISION II PLAYER OF THE YEAR Angelo Benton, Taft The senior averaged 16.7 points and 12.4 rebounds a game. He was third team all-state, first team all-district and all-Cincinnati Metro Athletic Conference. DIVISION II COACH OF THE YEAR Mark Mitchell, Taft His team finished 16-7 and was Enquirer Divisions II-IV regular season coaches’ poll champion. The Senators reached the district finals. He was Division III first team all-state, Southwest District player of the year and Cincinnati Hills League player of the year. Damon Butler, North College Hill The senior averaged 22.1 points, 7.8 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 4.1 steals. He was second team allstate, first team all-district and all-Miami Valley Conference and helped lead NCH to three state titles and a 25-1 postseason record in four years. Ricardo Maxwell, Lockland The sophomore averaged 11.9 points, 4.5 assists and 3.0 steals. He was Division IV special mention all-state, first team all-district and all-MVC. DIVISION III COACH OF THE YEAR Jeoff Gabbard, Deer Park His team finished 19-3 and reached the sectional finals. Deer Park was Cincinnati Hills League champion, the program’s first league title since 1969. DIVISION IV PLAYER OF THE YEAR Drew Kohn, Seven Hills The senior averaged 21.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.9 steals and 2.5 assists. He was first team allstate, Southwest District player of the year and Miami Valley Conference-Scarlet player of the year. DIVISION IV COACH OF THE YEAR Willie Hill, Seven Hills His team finished 23-2 and reached the regional finals, the longest tournament run in school history.
