What to expect: Let’s Play is a structured group ran by our Let’s Play has a set routine each week. Early Years Worker and supported by Catch Let’s Play offers you time to play and explore with your child, please remember your child is your responsibility while in the session and you must not leave them unattended. 22 volunteers. Stay and Play is a free session for babies and young children under the age of 5 and their families. There is a range of activities on offer for the children including mark making, messy play, books, sand and water play, music and more. Characteristics of Effective Learning During Let’s Play you will be able to see your child develop as they begin to explore and experiment with the world around them. This will enable them to become life long learners. Playing and exploring At the end of the session tidy-up time is an important part of the routine so please encourage your child to help. All of our toys have picture and word labels to help you find where things go. Active play After our tidy-up we will join up as a whole group for our end of session time together. We usually finish with our ‘What’s in the bag’ songs and then we sing Goodbye to Important We ask that you do not use your mobile phone within the everyone. During song time we will also use MAKATON (baby sign) for more information on this please ask. Your child will delight in playing with what they already know and they will begin to develop a ‘can do’ attitude when exploring new items Your child will enjoy achieving what they set out to do as they become more involved in activities and increased concentration will allow them to keep on trying Creating and thinking critically Your child will begin to have their own ideas and they will make links to help them to choose ways to do things session to make calls or take photographs.
