Arneg Oceania chooses Sapphire for ERP implementation
Leading commercial refrigeration company to implement SAP Business One with Sapphire

SAP Business One from Sapphire to streamline their processes and manage its rapid growth.

Arneg is a major worldwide player in the refrigeration industry, celebrating its 50 birthday this year. Arneg
Oceania was then founded in 1996 to cater for the Australian and New Zealand market, and has quickly
grown to become a major player in these countries. Roberto Trinchero, Managing Director, said sustaining
that growth with their existing systems has been difficult because they are too basic and not robust enough
to cope with the various business changes.
“We are currently dealing with two systems and it takes a lot of time and effort to access our critical
business information. We want to make informed decisions in real-time and know these can be carried out
with streamlined business processes, so looking at an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system was the
natural next step for us,” Roberto said.
Roberto and the team shortlisted six ERP systems including SAP Business One, Pronto and Microsoft
Dynamics Nav.
When discussing the selection process, Roberto said: “We shortlisted a few systems and liked what we saw
with SAP Business One. Sapphire presented the solution well and we could see that it met all our
requirements, such as getting information at a glance, obtaining real-time reports and its landed costing
functionality.
“The Management Team was initially hesitant in choosing SAP because while we had heard good things
about the software and were keen to work with the system, we thought it was difficult to use and only for big
companies. Having Paul Rowan (Sapphire’s Sydney-based Sales Director) and the Sapphire team
demonstrate the lighter SAP Business One was definitely an eye-opener for us,” said Roberto.
The team at Arneg Oceania were impressed with Sapphire and built a good rapport with the Australian staff
working on the project: “The team’s presentation of SAP Business One was far more gripping than any of
the others. They had done their research and it showed. We were happy to choose them for the
implementation and on-going support.”
