ROUTE OF THE RACE :
The Start of the race will be given at the exit of the port of Gorey between the
end of the pier and the boat jury.
Procedure of departure: 5Minutes 3 short blow of horn/ 1 Minute 2 short blow
and starting at the long blow.
The route continues up to the buoy of Ecrevière (S.E of the ECREHOU); every
rowing boat will have to cross necessarily between this buoy and the checkpoint
boat at anchor approximately a quarter-mile in the South of Ecrevière.
The route follows then a direct road towards the harbour of Carteret for the
arrival.

SECURITY ALONG THE RACE:
Every rowing boat will be followed by his Guard boat along the Race. Fast boats
will also cross through the race.
For the rowing boat in difficulty, the agreed signal consists in raising arms and
sculls stopped. They could also use a horn.
The Guard boat (or a fast boat) will then giving help, in connection with the Jury
boat.
RADIO : all the guard and fast boat of the organisation must have a VHF and
must be in permanent contact with the Jury boat and the Race Control
headquarters in Carteret (channel 72).

ROWING BOAT SECURITY MATERIAL
- 1 lifejacket per rower
- 1 horn
- 1 rope of 10m
- 1 compass
- 3 distress rocket minimum
- 1 knife
- 1 mirror
- 1 bucket, 1 bailer or 1 hand pump for boats not auto-bouncer
- 1 light (flash lamp, lighting stick)
Each Crew make the commitment to have all the above mentionned
material during the race when they will engage for the inscription.
CONTROLS COULD BE DONE ON THE STARTING LINE
PARTICULAR CONDITIONS OF CANCELLATION:
Any decision of cancellation of the race would be announced at the occasion of
the welcoming in Carteret or along the briefing preceding the race and
immediately passed on the concerned authorities.
This decision would be taken in view of bad weather conditions (SW wind > 20
knots , NE wind > 15 knots or then if the visibility is less than 2 miles).
In case of cancellation, and in view of the weather conditions, a replacement
race could be organized.
TRANSFER TO JERSEY:
At your arrival in Carteret, a boat will be indicated to you for your transport as
well as for that of your rowing boat. You will then have to give help for the
loading of it. Please respect the hours indicated by the owners of the transfer
boats (fishing boats for the material and the sailors for the participants).
Being dependent on hours of tides, We ask you to respect these schedules
ACCOMODATION IN GOREY:
The accommodation will be in the Youth Hostel up to Gorey Harbour.
The accommodation will be in room of 8 people (80 bed).
We ask you to come with your own sleeping bag. No sleeping bag would be
supplied.
Every year, rowers take a lot of time to find their own bags. Please stick on it a
label with your name, telephone and club.
The CAMBC cannot be taken responsible for the loss or the
breaking of any sensitive material into the bags.
The breakfast in the morning of the departure (included in the price) will be
taken in the Youth Hostel.
Shuttles with minibus will transfer the rowers between the harbour of Gorey and
the Youth Hostel on Fridays in the end of the afternoon and also in the end of
evening (for those who will have a dinner on Gorey) as well as on Saturdays
mornings to join the port harbour of Gorey.
Youth Hostem is not very far from Gorey harbour, it could be easilly done by
walking (10 min).
INSCRIPTIONS :
For practical reasons of organization (reservation of the Youth Hostel, the
transfer of rowing boats and rowers to Gorey) and for the comfort of all, we will
register only the inscriptions together with their payment, made by
bank transfer (please ask us for our bank details when you are ready) .
Inscription and bank transfer should be done before :
The 1st of July 2014.
The CAMBC on decision of his direction board, reserves the right to forbid the
race to every person having harmed the FFSA or the club affiliated to the FFSA
and any other International Rowing Federation.

In case of the cancellation of the race and also the cancellation of the
replacement race, 50% of the engagement cost will be kept by the
CAMBC. This case even if the registered crew would not take the
departure
