ROSS’S FORT WAYNE CAMPUS HAS WINNING TEAM
AT HABITAT FOR HUMANITY® INAUGURAL
MINI GOLF OUTING
FORT WAYNE - Ross in Fort Wayne recently participated in the first mini golf outing for Fort
Wayne’s Habitat for Humanity on September 20 at The Plex South Indoor Miniature Golf
Course. Ross had the winning team, consisting of Lori Ponstler, Admissions, Teresa Ramsey,
Admissions, and Dawn Modlin, Campus Director.
According to Fort Wayne’s Habitat for Humanity website, Fort Wayne Habitat for Humanity is
one of 2,322 affiliates worldwide working at a grass-roots level to eliminate poverty housing.
Contributed funds buy building materials, and donated labor builds new homes or sometimes
rehabilitates existing ones. These homes are then sold at no profit and no interest to partner
families. Mortgage payments are used to build additional homes. Fort Wayne Habitat for
Humanity is affiliated with Habitat for Humanity International.
The first Fort Wayne area Habitat house was completed in 1987. By the end of 2008, the
organization had completed 124 homes and 9 rehabs. For more information, call the Fort Wayne
