Information and Booking Form Thanks for downloading this booking form, and for your interest in our evening seminar to explore the possibilities of Community Composting in your community. The dates & venues of the events are: Wednesday 27th February, Neston Community & Youth Centre on Burton Road, Neston, CH64 9RE Thursday 7th March, Trinity Methodist Church Hall, Whitby Road, Ellesmere Port, CH65 0AE This event is part of an initial project that is being funded by Cheshire West & Chester Council to find community organisations that would like to get involved in community composting and to also find promising places where it would fit in well. The evening will start with some nice warming refreshments and the chance to meet up with other people in the area with an interest in growing and community activities. From 6pm you will hear about community composting and how the CCN are working to help/promote its uptake in the Ellesmere Port and Neston areas. We would like to show you what community composting is (there is not just one model!) and to hear from you about how you think it might help your project or growing activities. Outline of the programme: 17:30 Registration and refreshments 18:00 Housekeeping and welcome 18:05 Project Introduction 18:25 What is Community Composting? 18:55 Discussion 19:10 BREAK 19:30 Liverpool Rotters – a presentation by CCN member organisation 19:50 Questions & answers 20:00 Summary & Close The organisations CCN works with are not-for-profit, locally managed/governed groups working for the benefit of their communities. Obviously it also helps if you are interested in gardening and growing (especially fruit and veg!), because then you have an immediate reason to make and use compost, but you can just make compost to return to the householders. You are very welcome to contact us beforehand if you would like to know more about how your group could become involved with the project and become Community Composters. But, there will also be an opportunity on the evening to express your interest, and we will then contact you to discuss your ideas further. The booking form is on the next page. The event is free. Please return the form to [email protected]; or phone 0114 258 0483 if you have any questions.
