SNOW REMOVAL POLICY
The City begins plowing with 3-4 inches or more of
accumulation.
Priorities:
1. Bus routes and sidewalks to schools
2. Primary roads and public parking lots
3. Secondary roads
4. Alley and cul-de-sacs
5. Continue sanding as needed
SNOW REMOVAL
REMINDERS
 Please keep your garbage cans off the street so
the snow plows do not hit them while working.
 Remind your children not to play on the snow piles
that are close to the street while the snow plows
are working.
 Remember when plowing your driveway or
parking lot not to plow snow onto public streets or
sidewalks. The snow must be deposited in a ditch
line or behind the sidewalk or curb and gutter. If
you have a gravel driveway, do not plow across a
public street.
REMINDER: Please do not set your
garbage cans out into the
street after the snow plows
have made their first pass
through your neighborhood.
We need to finish plowing
the streets and can’t if the
trash cans are there. Leave
your cans off the roadway
where they would be on a
normal day.
