Dear Wrestling Camper:
On behalf of the Whitewater coaching staff and the Warhawk wrestling family, we are excited to have you at the
2017 Elite Wrestling Camp at UW-Whitewater.
Our staff is excited to develop your technical and competitive skills. We will use one-on-one hands-on
instruction, combative wrestling drills, and individual feedback to maximize your experience.
Check-in will take place in Lee Hall, 1020 W Starin Rd, Whitewater, WI 53190, from 3:00 – 4:00pm.

We will have water available during the practices and all meals will be provided.
What to Bring: Wrestling shoes, head gear, mouth guard, shorts, swim trunks, T-shirt, water bottle, soap, and
towel. You may want to bring a minimal amount of money for pizza and snacks at night, in addition, there will be
a camp store to purchase gear.
Please remember to fill out the online healthEcamper form 5 days prior to camp starting. Campers will not be
allowed to participate in camp activities without this online form.
Visitors are always welcome at our University and we encourage your parents and coaches to drop in and see
what is going on. Enclosed is a letter for your parents. Please see that they receive it.
We hope that you are anticipating a great camp and we look forward to seeing you on campus!

June 2017
Dear Parents:
Thank you for permitting your son the opportunity to attend the 2017 Warhawk Junior Commuter Wrestling
Camp. I am sure that you would like to know more about the camp.
STAFF: The staff of instructors has been personally selected by our coaching staff. These men are current staff
members and wrestlers for the UW-Whitewater Wrestling team. Your wrestler will benefit greatly from the time
spent with them at camp. We will provide supervision in all activities. Our goal is for each child to learn new
techniques and life skills while enjoying the wrestling camp. We will be implementing a multitude of drills and
skill games to help these young wrestlers.
HEALTH FORM: All campers are required to complete an online health form at least 5 days prior to the start of
camp. Campers without a completed form on file will not be allowed to participate in camp activities:
Elite Wrestling 1 Health Form
Elite Wrestling 2 Health Form
Elite Wrestling 3 Health Form
Elite Wrestling 4 Health Form
INSURANCE: Insurance coverage is included in your registration fee and will cover you only while you are on
campus and for camp related activities. You are not covered while traveling to and from camp.
FOOD SERVICE: During the camp, your child will receive dinner on the first day. The second day they will receive
all meals and on the last day of camp, they will receive breakfast and lunch. Meals are prepared by our
University dietitian and chefs and will be served in Esker Dining Hall. Your son will be issued a meal band, which
must be taken to every meal. Should the band be lost or destroyed, a new band should be purchased for $2.00.
DISCIPLINE: Our camp is designed for young wrestlers to appreciate the best that our sport has to offer. They
will have one-on-one involvement with our staff. It is our desire that the camp will be both educational and
enjoyable. However, misbehavior and misconduct will result in discipline—we will send campers home if
necessary.
Thanks for the opportunity you have given us to work with your child.
Respectfully,
Ned Shuck

Each camper is to be in his assigned room at the designated curfew time. Coaches will check.
Lights out and quiet. Do not leave your rooms after lights out except for the bathroom, if
necessary. Coaches will get you up at the designated wake-up time.
16.
Failure to comply with rules/regulations of camp will result in immediate dismissal from camp.
Your parents will be called to come and get you and you will not be refunded your camp fees.
