Street, Ulverstone 7315 by 8:00pm on Monday, 6 February 2017. Late entries will only be accepted for handicap events.
All events are open to amateur Associate and Lady Members of clubs affiliated with Golf Tasmania. The WGT-NW Committee
reserves the right to reject any entry without being required to give any reasons for such rejection.
All handicaps shall be Golf Australia handicaps and a current handicap certificate must be produced on request. In the singles event
the player’s handicap at the commencement of the first qualifying round will remain for the entirety of the 36 hole qualifying rounds,
however current handicaps will apply for match play finals.
The rules of golf and the local rules of the Devonport Golf Club shall be the rules of play during the tournament. Players are to
observe the dress regulations of the Devonport Golf Club.
In every event, competitors will be drawn against each other for the day in such a manner as the WGT-NW Committee shall arrange.
The Committee shall have the power to select a partner for any competitor whose partner is not at the first tee when called upon to
start. Competitors must report to the starter 15 minutes before draw time. Competitors not ready to start at the appointed time will
automatically go to the end of their division.
All events shall be under control of the WGT-NW which will have full power to alter or make any variation to the conditions, or alter
the indicated starting time of the Event. WGT-NW may, in the event of bad weather, or for any other reason, fix another day or venue
for any contest.
All protests must be lodged in writing, at the Clubhouse within 30 minutes of the completed round. The decision of the Match
Committee shall be final.

Single Ties for 8 qualifying place in the Open. If the number of players on the last qualifying score exceeds the required quota
there shall be a sudden death play-off to determine those to be eliminated. When the 8 qualifiers are established, count-back
conditions will apply. In Match Play all ties shall be played to a result. All other Events including qualifying positions shall be decided
by count-back. Consolation qualifying positions will be filled prior to Division 2 positions. Scratchings will be a walk-over.
Foursome Championship - Ties will be decided by sudden-death play-off.
A player who qualifies for the Match Play section, and does not intend to continue, must give notice to the Match Committee when
returning her card. The player or players with the next lowest score will then be included.
Slow play rule 6-7 will be strictly enforced.
A competitor shall not knowingly make use of any drug to enhance her performance. Any competitor infringing the condition by
refusing to take a test may be disqualified.
Distance only measuring devices are permitted. Mobile phones must be turned off.
Motorised Transport
During play, it is prohibited for a player to ride in or on a motorised vehicle unless permission has been granted by the Championship
Committee. (NB Subject to host club permission, a caddie may use motorised transport at any time.) Penalty: 2 strokes for each hole
at which a breach occurred; maximum penalty per round – 4 strokes (unless permitted to ride by a member of the Championship
Rules Committee). Procedure when breach discovered: Use of any unauthorised form of transportation must be discontinued
immediately upon discovery that a breach has occurred.
Note i: Permission will only be granted to entrants who can provide a Medical Certificate.
Note ii: WGT-NW takes no responsibility for the availability of golf carts.
Note iii: Permission will be granted on the basis that the following requirements are adhered to. Players failing to adhere to these
requirements are liable to have such permission revoked: Players who drive at a pace which is clearly quicker than walking pace;
and/or who drive to a point past their ball which is clearly unreasonable for a player who is not using motorised transport to reach, are
in breach of these requirements.
In the event of a breach between the play of two holes, the penalty applies to the next hole. Use of an unauthorised form of
transportation must be discontinued immediately upon discovery that a breach has occurred, otherwise the player is disqualified.
