Compass update no. 12 System Update – Monday 04 April 2016 We will be installing a system update in to Compass during the evening Monday 04 April 2016. This will require a period of downtime that will last between 18.00 – 22.00 hours during which you will be unable to access Compass. We have corrected a couple of errors that were displaying when trying to submit changes: The system was not allowing the removal of the end date when changing a contract from PDS to GDS, this is now corrected. The system was incorrectly producing an error at authorisation stage regarding dates for locations, this has now been corrected and any errors will be identified at the submit stage. The system was incorrectly validating percentage totals for KPIs on PDS Plus contracts, this has now been corrected. Performer 24 Hour retirement There is still an outstanding issue where entering a retirement date is not making the performer non superannuable, so if you were to add them back on to the contract you would have to enter NPE, and further contributions would be taken. So unless the performer was already non superannuable prior to the retirement we would advise not to add them back onto the contract yet. We are looking into this issue and hoping to have a resolution as soon as possible and will keep you informed. Extending Contract end dates If you have contracts that have an end date of 31 March 2016 that you were unable to extend before they closed please send details of the contracts to [email protected] and we will arrange for the dates to be extended to allow you take make the appropriate changes. Contract Activity Summary 2015/2016 As we’ve now moved into the 2016/2017 financial year you need to make sure when you’re viewing your figures for 2015/16 that you’re viewing the correct year’s figures. Go to the Activity menu in Compass and then select Activity Search Summary. Select the 15/16 financial year and set the “Included Years” indicator to current. Date: 01 April 2016 Then select the 16/17 financial year and set the “Included Years” indicator to previous. More information on how to view your activity figures can be found in Ask Us Contract Allocation Form (CAF) A new CAF form has now been put on to the website to help commissioners calculate NPE/NPEE. It can be found on the Pensions Administration page: http://www.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/2026.aspx and with the How To Guides page: http://www.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/DentalServices/5446.aspx Managing Users Report A new report is available to Commissioner Administrator and Administrator Plus Primary User roles called Managing Users Report. The report includes details of out of hours logins, locked user accounts, changes to user permissions and additions and deletions of users. We recommend this report is reviewed on a weekly basis to ensure it reflects the activity you would expect from users in your commissioning area. The report can be run at any time and can be found in the Reporting folder. ARR The Annual Superannuation Reconciliation process has begun and the facility is now available in Compass for providers and performers to confirm or amend their NPE/NPEE for the financial year 2015/16. Compass downtime Compass will be unavailable from 07:00 on Saturday 9 April until 19:00 on Sunday 10 April to enable us to carry out some necessary maintenance work.
