Business Support Team
The Business Support Team (BST) delivers integrated, customer centric,
efficient and effective support to the UK based business in the areas of
transactional Finance, International Resourcing, Project Administration
and Human Resources. Importantly, the BST offers professionals a unique

MAIN JOB PURPOSE
Reporting to the BST Lead, this role is responsible for supporting the
Business to win and deliver projects by sourcing suitable contractors for
specific project opportunities. This role is also responsible for maintaining
oversight of IR resources and activities in the BST, and satisfying internal
reporting requirements. As a key member of the BST, you will join a
dynamic and experienced group of professionals that provide support that
is imperative to the day-to-day running of the organisation, ultimately
influencing the overall success of Crown Agents. In holding a team lead
position, you also have an opportunity to manage resources, ensure team
KPIs are met, provide coaching and development opportunities for more
junior staff and peers, and act as a visible role model for our people. You
will play an integral role in the success of the BST.
MAIN
Project resourcing
RESPONSIBILITIES OF
 Responsible for driving change within the business, with a continual

focus on commerciality and the margin impact of contracts and
mobilisation.
 Responsible for attending pipeline management meetings to capture
and understand resourcing requirements and establish the priority to
be assigned to resourcing requests in conjunction with the Business
and IR Business Partner
 Responsible for partnering with project teams and advising project
teams on resourcing options
 Responsible for maintaining and contributing to a resource/project
demand tracker
 Responsible for participating in post bid/award meetings
 Responsible for searching and screening the suitability of contractor,
and preparing a short-list of suitable candidates for a specific project
opportunity; ensuring they meet key requirements outlined by the
Business
 Responsible for determining and understanding if any existing
relationships exist with contractors by reviewing data in CRM
 Responsible for determining if a particular role should be advertised
externally in conjunction with the Business and the IR Business
Partner, and for preparing job adverts
 Responsible for assisting project teams with selection interviews and
assessment of contractors
 Responsible for negotiating rates with contractors in co-ordination
with the IR Business Partner
 Responsible for drafting and issuing contracts based on information
submitted by the Business.
Project Mobilisation and Administrative Support
 Responsible for the mobilisation and administrative team, ensuring
that their processes are effective and provide great service to the
business whilst also managing risk.
 Ensuring the effective division of work to support surges in capacity.
Database management
 Responsible for ensuring that contractor data and documentation
received is maintained in the system (e.g., rates, updated CVs)
 Responsible for setting up engagements and maintaining
 the status of activities throughout the sourcing process in the system
Client relationship
 Responsible for communicating the status of resource requests to
project teams in a timely manner
 Responsible for co-ordinating with project teams in a timely manner to
gain an understanding of the quality of a contractor
 Responsible for maintaining a relationship with contractors
throughout the lifecycle of a project
 Responsible for developing a partnership with contractors and
leveraging the networks of contractors
People
 Responsible for maintaining oversight of IR resources and activities in
the BST, ensuring resources are deployed in accordance with
operational requirements to meet department and corporate goals
 Responsible for ensuring that IR provide an effective, efficient and
customer focused service to the Business to drive a positive candidate
experience
 Responsible for providing technical guidance and support to team
members, as required
 Responsible for ensuring that all team members have sufficient
training and support to perform their role effectively
 Responsible for liaising with the BST Lead regarding IR activities
 Responsible for assisting with training provided to the business in
relation to IR and mobilisation issues.
This role may require international travel from time to time
