JUNIORS RESULTS FOR ROUND 3:
Under 6 Blue against Warnervale
WON 26 / 8
Tries: Broc 2, Coby 2, Thomas, Cooper T
Goal : Brock
The Under 6 blue played well in attack and defence again this week winning their match against Warnervale Bulls.
Standout defence by Broc & Coby. Cooper T was new to the team this week, you wouldn’t know it as he had great
runs with the ball, scored a try and made some great tackles. Overall I couldn’t be prouder of the U6 Blues. Man of
the Match awarded to Cooper T. Achievement Award to Owen for most improved.
Under 6 Gold against Woy Woy
LOST 24 / 16
Tries: Billy Sheppard 2, Lachlan Simpson 2
This week took us to Woy Woy, bright and early at 8:45. We started with 7 players because that's all we have at the
moment. First try was scored by us about 1 minute into the game and that really lifted their spirits. They continued
pushing up in offense and in defence but Woy Woy scored pretty soon after. In the 2nd period we lost another player
due to illness but the team kept their heads up and played on. There were once again, many great tackles and great
runs but the team is starting to really play some good football.
Under 7 Blue against Wyong
LOST 8 / 14
Tries: Tahlee Maroney, Declan Ellis
Great team work you all should be very proud of your performance on the field. Damon great game buddy your
tackling was spot on now let's bring your positive attitude you have on game day to training. Well done Tahlee and
Declan for getting over that line again and scoring two great try's keep up the good work Hawks. Man of the match
Declan Ellis. Thanks coach Chris and Nathan for doing the time keeping
Under 8 Blue against Wyong
Well done kids on a much improved performance this week. We played with a lot more enthusiasm and this helped in
every aspect. Our defence was better and we made the opposition work hard for their tries. Jack made a great run
leaving defenders in his wake and he also kicked a great goal. Josh tried really hard with his tackles this week and
also made some great runs. Taj scored a couple of good tries and he looked more enthusiastic in defence. Jett
continues to impress his team mates with his great attitude towards training and he played another excellent game.
Zac received the "man of the match" award because of his never say die attitude. Ben is gaining confidence and his
tackling was better. Nick showed that he is listening at training and his running game is becoming more damaging as
the weeks go on and Zane is such a fast learner. He is going to become a great little footballer as the season
progresses. Bring on next weekend. Thanks Brad
Under 8 Gold against Bluehaven
WON 36 / 14
Great game boys, a dominate performance we were enthusiastic in attack ad defence. It’s only our second game as a
team and all the boys are keen to learn. Thank you to Declan for helping out who showed plenty of ticker. Keep up
the hard work at training and we will all improve.
Under 9 Blue against Wyong
WON 34 / 4
Tries : Bailey 2, Preston 2, Brodie, Zackson
Goals: Brodie, Bailey, Maverick, Preston, Zackson
This would have been I believe the best game the team has played since I started coaching them at the start of last
year. They were organised, in their positions, passing, offloading, supporting & scoring tries! Wyong had 3-4 big boys
on their team, but it didn’t prevent the boys from stopping them in their tracks. Preston made the tackle of the day by
wrapping one of the Wyong's biggest up around the legs & dropping him alone. (the player was a good 6inches taller
than the Steamroller himself) !!!. Kia made a whopping 16 tackles & Bailey was not scared of the big boys & also
made 11 big tackles. Zackson took a tap at the half way line & zig zagged around nearly all of Wyong’s players to
score a great try. BUT the best play of the day was watching them (on the 4th & last tackle) support each other &
pass the ball through about 5 sets of hands to score in the corner, it was great to watch as we have been working on
supporting each other, yelling to let each other know they have support, looking & then offloading at training, which
is exactly what they did, IT WAS AWSOME !!! This week we'll work on our corridors (defence & attack) while staying
next to our team mates in their set positions. Keep up the good work boys. Thanks again to our reserve Cullen. Todd
for the scoring & stats & Craig as trainer. A BIG thanks to Cherryl Dent (Jacks mum) for helping out in the clubs BBQ
for 45 min before the game. Go the 9 blues & the Hawkies
Under 9 Gold against Erina
WON 34 / 10
Under 10/2
WON 44 / 4
Tries : Jack 3, Kyle 2, Jacob, Joel
Goals: Jim, Jacob, Jayden
We started this week’s game the same way we ended last week, with excellent defence and everyone tacking. The
boys keep improving each week both at training and on game day. From the first whistle the boys were in control of
the game and never looked like giving it up, with Jacks leadership around the field the boys are really starting to play
as a team and doing everything right.. Proud of you boys, keep up the good work. Man of the match went to Joel
who was unstoppable with his runs, making plenty of metres and brutal in defence. Overall the whole team put in
100% again this week..
against Warnervale
Tries : Eden Anderson, Jayden Wilkinson 3, Kobe Russ 2, Casey Xuereb 3
Goals: Kobe Russ 2, Casey Xuereb, Haiden Burns
Great effort boys, last two weeks of putting in a better effort at training on Tuesday and Thursday nights is starting to
prove rewarding results on game day. Overall a much improved game was had by all. The forwards Josh, Jarred,
Haiden Steve & jack led the assault up the middle pinching good meters every time one of them touched the ball. The
backs Casey, Kobe, Mitch, Jayden, Eden, Shane and Jake helping to finish off the set with points on the board. There
is still a lot off work needed in “spreading in defence”, and “play the ball” areas, but getting better each game. Well
done boys, great to get a win and keep up the good efforts at training and more results like this will come our way.
Thanks to Chad, Jodie and Jake for helping through the game…….

against Wyong Green
LOST 12 / 36
Tries : Drew Lamont, Matthew Burns
Goals: Drew Lamont, Billy Dean-Gault
The boys played a great first half, by leading Wyong 12 - 6. With great defence as well as great running there was
great forward momentum from Ayden & Drew. Good to see Billy & Matthew, starting to combined together in the
middle with good talking. Great defence from Kane, Jesse, Kye & Tommy. We just need to keep that same
momentum we have in the first half and bring it to the second half. We just need to practise more and it will come to
us. Like to welcome Brad to the side, as it was his first game at footy & a great start Brad. I like to thank all the
parents who help out with the canteen or the bbq. A big thanks to Tracey for doing the time keeping again, very
much appreciated. Thanks to Graham and Shane.

No Match Report
WON 42 / 0
Another great win by the boys to give us three on the trot. I’m not getting carried away yet as I will judge our
progress when we come up against Woy Woy & Wyong in the next two matches. It was pleasing to have no points
scored against us for the second week in a row and this just comes down to commitment in defence. Once again, our
line speed was really good and Kincumber made very little metres when they had the ball. If we keep this up and
increase our talk I can only see this improving as the season goes on. It was good to see our big fellas pick up a
gear with good games by Justin & Jackson up front. Our plays off the ball (decoys etc) is getting better and with more
training runs under our belt this will also improve. We still need to get deeper in attack & cut out a few handling
errors and silly decisions………….but in saying that the boys know what I expect and I’m really looking forward to see
how they react this weekend against a normally big Woy Woy side. I focused training week ahead will prime us for
our toughest game this year……………bring it on I say…! Players Player went to Justin Windle who had a real good
defensive game just ahead of Bowser who was chasing in defence with great effort………well done to you both.
Harrison again was in the tries with 4 along. Jimmy scored a great try after receiving a miracle ball from Ryan D. Ryan
O got over as did General. I might miss a try scorer hear as I’m doing this report remotely at a Merriwa Coffee Shop
so I apologise for that. Thanks again to our sponsors: Bruick Plumbing, Darren Hicks Concrete, Coffey's Hotel @
Cooma, Mobile Service Station Toukley & Darren Crossley Electrical. Special thanks also Mark, Fitzy & Noelle who all
do the job asked of them……..well done. Happy Birthday to Noelle also. Thanks to the parents who do the running
around for their kids………I’m sure they appreciate it. See you at Woy Woy this weekend

28-18, another win. Well done boys. You hung in there 'til the end scoring a couple of good tries. Despite our win
though boys, we still need to work on our defense and attack strategies. Fowards: you had a really good game,
working hard with some great charges and charging runs. Man of the match went to our newest addition, Alex. You
have settled into our team well and helped bring us to victory with two strong and determined tries. Well done.
Thanks to everyone who helped out on the day, and at training. Ric
Under 14/1
against Erina
WON 24 / 20
Awesome result! Discipline was a problem at times but there were a lot more good things than bad. Beating Erina was
the first for Toukley ever so that was a great achievement. We held our own after Brock was sin binned. To the boys
credit they held Erina up over the line at least six times. With Joel getting injured and Ethan out with injury we
brought in Harry Wall from the 13’s who played really well. Deahn’s hits and metres gained was unreal and I still can’t
believe he didn’t make the Reps side! Bailey’s BRUT BIG HITS were brutal as usual. Well Done Boys, let’s bring in the
discipline next week and get it over Kincumber. Players Player : Bailey Hibbit
Under 14/2
against Berkeley Vale
WON 60 / 0
A big win today by the boy's and a much more committed performance but we can't get carried away with the score
as they only had 11 players and they are up from third division and their down around the bottom of the ladder so it
was a game that we should have won that being said you still have to do all the little things right and that what we
did today this week will be a different story coming up against Kincumber so we really need to be focused for this
game boy's so let’s keep up the good work and we may come away with a win all going our way, well done to all,
harry was our players player well done harry ( it must have been those new white boots ) thanks to Coby and Jese for
backing up thanks to all the supporters who came to watch and thanks to Kim, Brigham and Bassy. Thanks also to
Jarrod’s dad who ran the line for us (sorry I am not very good at remembering names. thanks also to our sponsor

against Woy Woy
WON 36 / 18
The Poppi Concrete Toukley Hawks Under 15’s took on Woy Woy on the weekend in a Grand Final Replay and in the
end ran out 36-18 winners. In a game that the team has been looking forward to for some time now the boys were
primed for a big showing at home to prove that last year’s Grand was no fluke and in the end we ran out convincing
winners. The Game started out as expected but with the Hawks playing to the game plan and dominating field
position the points started to come and at the half we had established a 24-6 lead. The second half start with the
same intensity and soon we had skipped away to a 30-6 but to Woy Woy’s Credit that fought hard till the end and
scored two more tries. Although the win was one to savour we are well aware that the opposition was under strength
and will be a totally different team next time around. In another great team performance special mention to Adam
who was outstanding scoring 3 try’s and kicking 6 from 6 in very trying conditions, well done mate. Thanks again to
all our supporters and my training staff who make my job so much easier. This week we take on Nth Lakes @
Halekulani Oval Budgewoi Hope to see you all there.

We may not have won the game by points but we won it in spirit and from playing this game we can improve on what
we have learnt like we need to start moving up as one and working as one. We will work on this at training. Let’s just
put this game behind us and look forward to a great season that is yet to follow and keep the up all the great work it
will pay off in the end. We would also like to thank Peter Wilson for running the line for us it was greatly appreciated.

WON 28 / 4
A great TEAM effort got the desired result over a team that was above us on the competition table. The way we
defended was inspirational to watch, to see what we do at training actually happening on the field brought a smile to
all the coaching staff.! We worked together, the entire 18 players played their part. It was pleasing to see that when
we did make a mistake, there was no abuse to anyone, just encouragement and a willingness to move on from the
mistake and concentrate on the next set of six tackles. How good was it to see us put our plays on, I don’t think we
actually scored from them but they looked good and we definitely put the opposition in two minds every time we used
them. On a less favourable note we did get some injuries and we all wish Ben, Aydan and Josh a speedy recovery and
hope to see them back on the paddock ASAP. Thanks again to Terry, Jason and Touchy Ramy for your assistance and
a special thanks to all our supporters who turned up and cheered our team on.!!
SENIORS RESULTS FOR ROUND 5:
HAWKS WARM UP FOR MOTHERS DAY WITH A MIXED BAG AGAINST THE EAGLES
This Sunday we would like to welcome all of the Mums in the club and the Rugby League community to Darren
Kennedy Oval and wish you all a VERY HAPPY MOTHERS DAY! We, like all clubs, rely so heavily on the hard work
of many of you in the canteen, bar, washing jerseys, on the committee, driving us to and from training or just
cheering for us on the paddock. On behalf of all the players and committee we thank you all for your love and
support, with footy and life. We hope you enjoy the days footy as we host The Entrance Tigers in four grades and
Berkeley Vale in the 18/2's. We look forward to producing our best footy in all grades and hope you can join us and
our loyal sponsors and supporters back at CANTON BEACH SPORTS CLUB for the match day presentation at
6:00pm.
Last Sunday the CANTON BEACH SPORTS CLUB Toukley Hawks hosted the Erina Eagles and finished with two
wins from the five games.
The GMS LEGAL AND CONVEYANCING First grade side were right in this game for the first thirty minutes. Our
forwards really stood up and our backs all pushed forward. We went blow for blow with the Jamie Feeney led Eagles
and lead 12-10 mid way through the first half, before the amount of time we spent in our own end of the field began
to take its toll and we trailed 26-12 at the break. We started the second half strongly again, but eventually Erina ran
away with it 50-18. Put simply boys we cannot win football games if we play the majority of the game in our red
zone. Hopefully we have learnt this (we should have by now) and rectify it against the Tigers at home this Sunday.
Across the board we have 17 very good players in this squad and have the potential to be a very good team, but we
need to start producing the goods on game day to get the results you're capable of.
The ADZMA COASTAL CARPENTRY Reserve grade side scored a well deserved 30-22 victory, which was even more
impressive considering we were a man down for most of the game. After conceding an early try, the boys regrouped
and shook off the loss of their captain to take a 14-6 lead into the break. It gave the boys the confidence to kick on
with a couple of good tries before holding off a late comeback by the Eagles. This side have been improving steadily
over the last few weeks and hopefully this result will kick-start their season. It really comes down to us maintaining
the same level of commitment, as we definitely have the talent. No doubt many of you will be pushing for a well
deserved first grade birth over the next few weeks. Congratulations boys.
The "THIS COULD BE YOU" Open Age side continued their improvement today, by showing more enterprise in
attack. However a similar story unfolded and a lack of completions took their toll in the end, as Erina finished up
winning 24-12. If we hang onto the ball more and begin to build some pressure on the opposition we will be hard to
beat - we look forward to doing that this week against the Tigers.
CENTRAL COAST 4 X 4 WRECKERS Under 18/1's: Well done boys on a great game of footy. It was one of the best
games of footy we have seen for a long time from guys your age. Some of the collisions were outstanding from both
sides and the intensity displayed showed 2 teams that I think will be a force in the comp this year. As usual we
started the game great and played to our structures and because of this we totally dominated the much bigger
opposition. Half time has been our nemesis in the last couple of weeks and this week we wanted to show a lot more
maturity and mental toughness in the second half! Erina came out firing and scored 2 great tries to put them back in
front but we showed self belief and great courage to fight our way back in to the game and run away with the win.
Well done boys, let’s try and continue this week against the tigers.

The TOUKLEY CARPARK BUTCHERY Under 18/2's were below their best against a decent Terrigal side and the
scoreline reflected that at the end of an ill disciplined game. The 28-6 scoreline is no reflection of our talent and we
look forward to re-producing our form from the previous week this Sunday and showing we can go a long way in this
competition. Up the Hawks!
