Speed Stack
Let's get ready to stack! Are you interested in
learning about speed stacks? If so, join Coach Wood
and Ms. Lewis to learn all about it. Competitive cup
stacking has gained momentum in recent years and
continues to become more popular. This is a great
opportunity to learn about the sport in an active and
cooperative setting. Students will also use math skills
to compare times, calculate the difference as they
improve, and graph results. No matter your age, this
club is a great choice for anyone interested in speed
stacking!

Chess
Chess Club is for chess players! That includes you!
Whether you are an expert player or have never
picked up a chess piece before, we invite you to come
join us and play chess. This club will challenge
veteran players, and introduce and teach the game to
those that want to learn.

Baking and Cooking
Students will learn many different recipes for fun
snacks to make at home. We will be creating and
following various recipes, such as haystacks and
“puppy chow”, that can be easily made at home
without an oven! Each week, we will make a new
recipe. At the end of our cluster, students will be
creating their very own cookbook with all the
awesome recipes they’ve made.

Lego and Literacy is a club that will mix reading with
building. We will choose a book (or more) and read it
together. Then, we will create things that are inspired
from the book(s). Bring your enthusiasm and

Game Club
CALLING 2ND AND 3RD GRADERS!!!!!..... If you
like playing games, then here is your chance to use
your creativity and work with peers to MAKE a
GAME... You will negotiate with your peers then vote
to decide what type of game to make. You will write
interesting science and math questions to be
answered and stunts to perform in your game/s. You
will combine your artistic talents to construct the
game and then play it.

Reading Buddies at Olde
Knox
Join the Olde Knox Reading Buddy Club and get
ready to share books with some really special folks at
Olde Knox Commons just down the road from TCE.
When you become a Reading Buddy and share your
love of reading, you will brighten the day of the
elderly friends at our community nursing home.

Fairy Tale STEAM
Freed and Royster use scientific methods that
challenge students to design and build projects that
stem from Fairytales. They will analyze data obtained
by testing properties of materials making hypotheses
and then recording results for science and

LEGO Maniacs
Mad Science/Art
Welcome to Lego Maniacs
Where third, fourth and fifth graders will Challenge,
Create, and Compete.
During each session you will participate in lego
building challenges. Challenges include, but not
limited to, building a skyscraper that can withstand
an earthquake, building the longest and/or strongest
bridge, and building a lego maze. Third, fourth and
fifth graders will match their skills as they attempt to
meet the engineering challenges presented to them.
Want to be a MAD Scientist for a day? Be part of
creating amazing science experiments to trick your
friends and then turn your creations into a
masterpiece.

Welcome eagle nation to the exciting world of
Robots! Come join us as students will focus on the
origins, applications, and latest trends in robotics.
Learn how robots are built and controlled. By the
end, students will participate in group challenges
where they will make a robot successfully complete a
