Introduction
The131stAGMofTheInternationalFABoard(TheIFAB)heldinLondonon3March2017
approved‘asecondstage’ofchangesandclarificationstotheLawsoftheGamefor2017/18to
completelastyear’smajorLawrevision.
AnimportantchangeisanincreaseintheflexibilityofnationalFAstomodifypartsofthe
‘organisational’Lawstobenefittheirdomesticfootball-theynowhavemoreoptionsforthe
footballforwhichtheyareresponsible.
TheIFABandFIFAalsoexpressedastrongcommitmenttoamajorfocusonimprovingplayer
behaviour,includingincreasingtheroleofthecaptain.
Thisdocumentcontainsasummaryofthemainchangeswillaffectplayersandmatchsituations
