Two-to-Target Goal Setting

Two to Target
1. Review your Principal Self-assessment.
2. What are two ‘moves’ you would like to cultivate so that you are more skilled in supporting
teacher leaders:
Move 1: ______________________________________________________________________
Move 2: ______________________________________________________________________
3. Commit to KASAB
a. What knowledge do you have and what conceptual understanding might you need to
deepen? (Example: I use data-based decision-making, but am limited in the measures I use.
I need to have a better understanding of the questions we have and the measures that will
help us to answer those specific questions so that I can model data analysis and decisionmaking more effectively.)
b. What are your current beliefs about this move, strategy, or process? Do you believe this
strategy is of value and how so? (Example: I believe modeling is critical to helping our
teachers see how they can use data to inform their classroom decision-making).
c. What skills (strategies and processes) will you need to apply the knowledge? (Example: I
need to be more skilled at identifying and articulating a process or protocol for us to use in
our data analysis and be clear about its purpose).
d. What is your aspiration regarding this ‘move’? (Example: I have a genuine desire to see
data-based decision-making more deeply implemented throughout my building (district).
e. What behaviors will demonstrate you are successfully implementing this key move?
(Example: For each faculty meeting, BLT meeting, and PLC meeting of which I am part, I
will identify a different measure/s that I can use to model how we can use data to make
informed decisions).
4. What are your next steps? How will you acquire the necessary knowledge and skills such that you
can consistently apply data-based decision-making?
