the year 1987 with the main objective of producing
world class Wind Electric Generators (WEGs) in India
for harnessing of power from wind.
The Company offers custom-built turnkey solutions in
the area of harnessing Wind Energy for Power
Generation, which includes site selection, micrositing,
preparation of detailed project report, project
engineering, erection, commissioning and after sales
service of the wind power project.
The Company believes that the “Blades” are the
“Heart” of the WEG and “Controllers” are the “Brain”.
RRBEL manufactures its own blades and
microprocessor based WEG Controllers.

GENERATOR :
CONTROLLER :
A microprocessor based controller that has a touch
screen facility on the operator panel. Hub, Top and
Bottom controllers are available. Monitoring the
performance of the WEG is done through an in-built
SCADA system.
POWER CONVERTOR :
An IGBT based power convertor with grid fault ride
through capability ensures that no separate
Capacitor panel is required (during Operation) for
power factor improvement, since the power
convertor is used to feed power to the grid.
SALIENT DESIGN FEATURES OF THE WEG:
RRBEL's PS- 1800 kW WEG is designed to endure
extreme environmental conditions. The dynamic
design of the WEG give a higher level of safety,
quality and efficiency. The WEG is suitable for 50 Hz
and 60 Hz grid. The WEG is designed for Wind class
II and III sites.
