QGSSSA AUTUMN FIXTURES
The QGSSSA Cross Country Championships
are upon us! Many weeks of dedicated
and focused training leads us to this
Saturday. Good luck to all girls
representing St Aidan’s at the 2017
QGSSSA Cross Country Championships.
This week our Autumn Fixtures are played
on Thursday afternoon against St Peter’s
Lutheran College due to the QGSSSA Cross
Country Championships taking place on
Saturday. Although we are the ‘home’
team, due to access to facilities, Basketball
will be played at SPLC and Touch at BGGS
playing fields (Fig Tree Pocket).
All team members are expected to travel
together on the bus to Rivermount College
which will leave St Aidan’s (Kathleen St) at
6:30am. Please meet at 6:15am to ensure
that we get away in good time. Please click

R6 RESULTS v ST MARGARETS
QLD ALL SCHOOLS CROSS COUNTRY
CHAMPIONSHIPS
On Saturday we had a number of girls
represent St Aidan’s at the QLD All Schools
Cross Country Championships at Kedron.
There were some great performances on
the day which saw St Aidan’s win the 13
years and 16 years age groups.
13 Years: Bridget McCormack, Yasmin
Doherty & Emma - Kate Watt
16 years: Nina Brown, Kate Riethmuller &
Phoebe McAuliffe
I know the team would really appreciate
your support as they look to try and retain
the Joan Benson Percentage Shield. There
will be a supporter’s bus which will leave
Kathleen St at 6:45am. Students can sign
up for this bus on the Senior Sports Portal
or by clicking here.
Supporters will need to wear their blues
and panama and I suggest that they also
bring some sunscreen. There will be food
and drink available at the venue, however
the queues are often long, and it may be
easiest to bring these things from home.
All buses will leave Rivermount College at
12:00pm and will return to school at
approximately 1:15pm.

course.

The annual ergo competition between
BSRA schools is scheduled for the evening
of Tuesday 23 May and will be held at St

Year 7 Starlets
During weeks 7-9 of this term, all Year 7
HPE classes will complete an introductory
rowing unit to gain basic knowledge and

and the single scull (on the 25m pool). Year
7s are invited to extend their rowing
experience in HPE to come and try rowing
at the following extra events:
Saturday 3 June – Starlets Rowing session
at the Terrace Shed 10am – 12:30pm
Year 7 students will have the opportunity
to go out on the water in Quad Sculls (four
rowers with two oars each and one cox) in
combination with older and more
experienced rowers and coaches. They will
be introduced to the boats in a safe and
supported manner. Starlets will not be out
on the water on their own without
experienced rowers in the boat.
Where: Meet at the Terrace Boatshed,

Saturday 10 June – Starlets Regatta –

As an extension to the session on 3 June,
