STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS
Student Government Association (SGA)
SGA provides students with a strong voice in the overall governance of the college. The SGA represents the
student body and works closely with college administration, Faculty Council, and various College Committees.
Through involvement in decision-making at the College,
SGA strives to ensure that the interests and rights of
all students are served. SGA also provides oversight
and guidance to student clubs and organizations. The
Student Activity Fee (SAF) is allocated by the SGA.

Student Programming Board (SPB)
SPB works closely with the Office of Student Life and Multicultural Programs
to plan the HACCtivity calendar each semester. SPB hosts a large variety of educational, multicultural, social and entertainment programs that includes Tunes
@ Noon, Sealed With a Poem, Cultural Experiences, monthly Game Shows,
Make 1 Take 1 novelty events, HACC Spirit Days, Trips and many special events.

STUDENT PUBLICATIONS
The Fourth Estate
The Fourth Estate is a student run newspaper. The students who work with
the Fourth Estate are responsible for writing, editing, and publishing stories on
a monthly basis. These articles range from HACC related events to local and
national news. The Fourth Estate strives to keep the students informed on all
current issues and use many different sources to showcase the range of their
articles.

Wildwood Journal
The Wildwood Journal is a literary arts publication of HACC featuring contemporary poetry, graphics, photography, and short prose. Submissions are open to
students regardless of major.

Dramatic Arts Club (DAC)
The purpose of the HACC Dramatic Arts Club is to provide students with an
opportunity to learn about and appreciate the dramatic arts.
International Awareness Club (IAC)
IAC provides awareness of other cultures and to
build a stronger relationship between American
and foreign students. They also introduce students
to different concepts, cultures, value systems and
educational perspectives.
Learning in New Kinds
of Educational Diversity (LINKED)
LINKED seeks to provide students with and without disabilities a setting where students may come
together socially to grow as individuals through
participation in programs and events.

Allies: We Are G.L.O.W.
Allies provide education, support and a safe social
atmosphere for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender,

Christian Student Fellowship (CSF)
CSF provides fellowship and encouragement to
club members. They also sponsor various educational activities on campus.

INTEREST CLUBS
American Sign Language Club (ASL)
ASL allows students, with and without, disabilities a
way to communicate with each other through sign
language. They promote the use of American sign
language and seek to make students more aware of
its prevalence.

HACC Japanese Animation & Culture Club (HACC JACC)
HACC JACC offers students interested in Japanese
animation, known as anime, and the Japanese culture through various media presentations.
Harrisburg Area Multimedia
Entertainment Club (HAMEC)
To provide an opportunity for students that enjoy
multimedia entertainment to learn and enhance
their knowledge about the various aspects of multimedia entertainment.

Glass Club
The Glass Club promotes awareness of glass as an art form. The club provides
opportunities to engage students in designing glass art.
Quidditch
Based off the popular Harry Potter books and movies, this club seeks to bring together students who
have both a passion for the Harry Potter series and
the famous game featured in the series.

Society for Student Designers (SSD)
This club is for students have a desire and passion for graphic design.
Students can come together to discuss new designs, layouts, and graphics.

Student Teamed Improv Comedy Klub (STICK)
STICK provides a place for students to learn and partake in the improv world.
Students learn improv exercises and practice scenarios that keep them on
their toes.

African American Student Association (AASA)
AASA builds community through social and cultural
activities that support and promote Black Students.
AASA presents opportunities to expand awareness
of Black history, culture, and heroes while considering current problems facing Black students.

Ceramics Club
The Ceramics Club provides an environment where those interested in
ceramics can meet, learn and share in their common interest.

SISA advocates and provides awareness of sociological inquiry and change through research and discussions of contemporary social issues relevant to the

The purpose of the Islamic Ummah Club is to educate and promote the culture and traditions of
students with a Muslim background as well as provide an awareness to the HACC Community.
Mosaico
The Mosaico Club provides opportunities for Latino
and Hispanic students to come together in order
to affirm, validate, nurture, and support cultural
and academic goals through social and educational
programming.

Trading Card Club
Trading Card Club offers a place for students to gather and play card games or trade cards from a variety
of different games.
Phi Beta Lambda (PBL)—Business Club
The purpose of PBL is to develop competent business leadership, strengthen the confidence of students; develop character, prepare for useful citizenship, and foster patriotism.

Phi Theta Kappa (PTK)—Honor Society
Phi Theta Kappa is the International Honor Society
for Two-Year Colleges. Membership is by invitation
only to students who have completed a minimum of
12 credits at HACC and have attained a grade point
average (GPA) of at least 3.5.

This group serves students that are interested in
joining the American Institute of Architects and/or
the Construction Specifications Institute. Club members work with instructors and professionals in the
field to gain new insights and to begin networking

The Culinary Club offers knowledge and experience
for students in all aspects of Hospitality. Join this

provide community service by feeding those that are
