Delmarva Power and the Arbor Day Foundation are offering free trees to help you conserve energy.
Three thousand trees are available to Delmarva Power customers on a first-come, first-serve basis now
through November 5th. To get your free tree, just log onto arborday.org/delmarvatrees and make
your reservation.
Properly planted trees help reduce energy use through summer shading and slowing winter winds.
As trees grow, they have the potential to lower energy bills by 15 to 30 percent.
Taking advantage of the program is easy!
To help you plant your tree in the right place, the Arbor Day Foundation offers an online
mapping tool at www.arborday.org/delmarvatrees.
This easy-to-use application:
•maps your house,
•shows you the right trees for your area,
•helps you locate the best place to plant them, and
•tells you how much you can expect to save.
Distribution is limited to two 2-to-4 foot trees per customer.
Three thousand trees are reserved for Delmarva Power customers.
