Registration is open to both ASHK students and non-ASHK students.
SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES
Summer Program runs from Monday, June 26 to Friday, July 7. Students must select one activity from
Session A (9:00am to 10:30am) and one activity from Session B (10:30am to 12:00pm) for a complete
registration.

REGISTRATION DATES
Parents are invited to register their child for ASHK Summer Program Session from
Tuesday, May 2 to Friday, June 16.
Please note that once a registration form is submitted, no changes may be made to the activity selections. Also,
please DO NOT submit more than one registration per student as any extra submissions will be deleted and only
the first registration will be considered.
ASHK SUMMER PROGRAM COSTS
The cost for a two week summer program is $5400 for ASHK Students and $6000 for non-ASHK Students.
Please note that ALL PROGRAM COSTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. No refund or credit will be issued for students
absent from the summer program for any reason.
Parents will need to bring cheques payable to "Universal American School HK Ltd." to the ASHK General Office on
or before Wednesday, May 31 to confirm your child's enrollment in the program. As part of the registration form,
parents will be asked for the cheque details (account holder name, bank name, and cheque number). Please have
this information ready as you fill in the form.
CONFIRMATION
Parents will receive an email confirmation of their child’s activity from the ASHK General Office on/before
Friday, June 16.

KG2 to G2 (Ages 6 - 8)
Games Extravaganza (Session A)
Playful English 90 (Session B)
Build teamwork and communication
skills all while playing fun and exciting
cooperative games. Students will
develop literacy and mathematical
skills while engaged in board games,
puzzles, math challenges, and
strategy games. Through game
playing, students will build critical
thinking skills and improve their
English vocabulary.
Students will use story books, drama,
music, cooperative games, and arts and
crafts, to expand vocabulary and to
improve their listening, speaking,
reading and writing skills. Students will
acquire a deeper understanding of the
language while immersed in a robust
English speaking environment. We will
build capacity in each student so that
they will emerge as confident learners
for their entry into a higher grade level
in September.

MLFA Football Camp
(Session A)

Come and Join Major League Football
Academy for a fun filled football camp!
MLFA’s team of dedicated and highly
qualified football coaches will be running a
camp designed for players of all abilities. Whether
they are new to the game or elite performers, we will
ensure all players have the best environment for
success. The camp will focus on developing some of
the core skill areas, including first touch, dribbling
and shooting. We will also focus on players speed
agility and quickness (SAQs), as well as reinforce the
importance of leadership and teamwork in the
world’s most popular sport.
Multi Sport and Activity Camp (Session B)
Come and Join Major League Sports Academy for an action packed week of multi sports and activities. MLSA’s team
of experienced and friendly coaches will be on hand to deliver a child centred program designed to develop Agility,
Balance, Coordinations (ABCs) and general physical literacy. The program will include introductions to popular team
sports (football, hockey, basketball, netball), team building exercises and creative team challenges! MLSA’s goal is to
challenge all participants to develop not only their teamwork and leadership skills, but to cultivate their love for sport
and exercise.

G3 to G6 (Ages 9 - 12)
Creative Writing and Self Expression
(Session A)
Instructor: Mr David Jalsevac
This workshop is aimed at fostering English
literacy skills. Students will be introduced to
various works of fiction, nonfiction and poetry
and will learn what inspires writers and the
techniques they use to communicate their
ideas. As participants in a structured and
supportive environment, students will emerge
as confident communicators while sharing
their personal reflections on the works they
read. Students will also be provided with
opportunities to refine their creative powers
by writing their own short stories, news
articles, and poems and will publish these
selections in a Google Blog.
Engineering Adventures Session B)

Explore flying technologies, prevent
earthquake disasters, design
otherworldly rovers, and design flying
aid packages through this interactive
and hands on course. Students will
stimulate their critical thinking and
problem solving skills by solving real life
situations through learning and
practicing the engineering process. Part
of this process includes working
together so students can build
teamwork and communication skills to
overcome realistic scenarios.
