Math - Eugene Field Elementary

TEAM FLOHR
NEWS
What an excellent full week of school
we have had. We have spent much of
our time getting to know one another!
We began learning the Daily 5. The
Daily 5 is the classroom structure that
we will be following during our
reading group time daily!!! We are
working on building our stamina to be
good readers. We will practice finding
good fit books next week. We will also
practice how to read with a partner!
Specials next week:
Monday: Art
Tuesday: Computers/Counseling
Wednesday: Music/PE
Thursday: Library/Computers
Friday: PE/Music
Writing
This week we read a book called
How I Spent My Summer
Vacation. A little boy in this
story writes a report about his
summer vacation. We learn that
this little boy has quite an
imagination. We wrote our own
stories about summer and we
added make believe details. We
will share these with the class next
week to see if our friends can
guess which parts are real and
which parts are make believe.
