Post Scrimmage Kick (PSK) Enforcement CHVFOA June, 2004 CHVFOA/2004 1 PSK Changes for 2004 • PSK time window opened – Window is now from the snap to end of the kick • PSK enforcement if kick goes beyond the Expanded Neutral Zone (ENZ) – Previously kick had to end beyond ENZ CHVFOA/2004 2 PSK Changes for 2004 • PSK foul treated as a change of possession foul. -Therefore in a double foul situation R may retain possession by declining K foul and PSK foul is automatically enforced. CHVFOA/2004 3 4/10 on 50, R punts. Prior to the kick, R holds at R35. The punt is caught at the R20 and returned to the R30. Where is the PSK spot? R20 New for 2004 - now a PSK foul PSK Spot=Basic Spot X 10 yards from Basic Spot R Defensive fouls beyond the basic spot are enforced from the basic spot.
