ONE LEARNER ONE ESTATE AGENT PROGRAMME FEEDBACK
1. Background
The one Learner One Estate Agency Youth Brigade Programme is an initiative
embraced by Estate Agency sector as far back as 2012 summit where each Estate
Agency committed to recruit on learner/intern from previously disadvantaged
background to address the Estate Agency sector transformation agenda. This was
further emphasized by the Minister of Human Settlement during her 2015 Budget vote
speech to achieve a goal of placing 10 000 interns/learners. The 10 000
Interns/Learners are to be placed over a period of 3 years as Follows:

2015/16-2000
2016/17-3100
2017/18-4000
1. EAAB Achievement year 2015 to date
The Estate Agency Sector has recruited 6,109 learners from previously disadvantaged
back grounds of which 2,871 are youth since 2012.
Further the estate Agency Affairs Board through the funding of SSETA has placed 798
learners during the 2015/16learning period, 420 are still active on the Programme as at
March 2016
2. Graduation ceremony for Phase 1
We are busy preparing the graduation for our first phase learners with the DHS
Office, around Aug 2016

ESTATE AGENCY' Youth Programme Principal Pledge Form
The Host Must complete the online Youth Programme Principal Pledge Form
The Host Must click in the small box I agree and undertake conscientiously and
effectively to mentor such intern(s) estate agents until such time as they qualify
as Professional Practitioners in Real Estate (PPRE).
The Host or stakeholder must click in Proceed “They will automatically receive
the email from EAAB Dear MANDISA SHIRRIES This email confirms that we
have received your One Learner pledge to take on 10 interns.
The success of the One Learner One Estate Agency campaign will be dependent on
the cooperation of all the respective parties involved. The successful outcome will have
a major impact on the achievement of the National Development Plan objectives.
Our Next phase of the project has not yet started, as the first phase only ending end of
June 2016, we are anticipating for the next phase to start around Sep/Oct 2016.
