80 t h Anniversary Camp
August 18 – 20, 2017
What a great way to celebrate 80 years! Old and new friends, alumni campers and families are
invited to share in this anniversary camp. We’ll relax, reminisce, play games, swim and boat,
enjoy vespers, campfire and special 80th events together. On Sunday, we’ll welcome the
community to join in worship, lunch and an afternoon Open House. The weekend camp
will begin with Registration on Friday August 18th at 5 p.m. (Eastern) and will end with a
closing gathering at 5:00 pm (Eastern) on Sunday August 20th. Long-distance travelers
may make arrangements for earlier arrival or later departure. Please complete a registration

Flexible Registration Fees and Options at Presbytery Point
Summer camp has great value in the life of a child of any age! Campers and their families have
told us that a week at Presbytery Point Camp is priceless!
Realizing that each of our life situations vary, Presbytery Point Camp has instituted a camper
registration flexible fee program. You may choose the option that is most suitable for your
situation. It is a free will system - you tell us what works for you or your family. All
participants receive the same Presbytery Point experience no matter which they choose!
Choice 1 is supported by Friends of the Point gifts to help with camper costs.
Choice 2 includes partial support sponsored by camp alumni.
Choice 3 more closely reflects the true costs of camp.
Our goals:
 To provide the highest quality programs possible.
 To serve and welcome all who want to be part of our camp community.
 To preserve Presbytery Point for generations to come.
Again, this program is voluntary, confidential and in no way influences the experience anyone
will receive. It offers the opportunity for each camper and their family to choose the best option
for them.

Along with the choices listed, there are additional tools to make summer camp or off-season
retreats at The Point possible!
Promise Payment Plan We can work with you on a payment plan. Please email or phone us
to set up a plan to make sure your camper is able to join us this summer!
Clergy, Christian Educator, Ministry Discount We have a special rate for all serving in these
positions. Please call or email the camp office for more information.
Camperships Applications are reviewed as they are received. The earlier they are received, the
better your chances are to be awarded a campership. Please find information on our website
www.presbyterypoint.org, print out and complete the Camper Scholarship Application, or call
906-869-0925 and we’ll send you an application. Mail your completed application with your
Camper Registration form as early as possible.
Donate to Campership Fund If you are able to help send another camper, please consider a gift
to our Campership Fund. We want to see kids in the cabins, at the waterfront, playing field
games, planning vespers, tenting at the Outpost Camp and singing around the campfire!!

What to bring to camp:
if you are travelling a long distance, have limited space in
your vehicle, or are flying to camp, please let us know and we can provide towels, linens, pillows
and blankets.
 Towels (one for bath and one for beach) and washcloth
 Bedding: linens/blankets or sleeping bag and a pillow
 Medications in original containers
 Flashlight (needed for camp fire and possible camp out!!)
 Rain Jacket/poncho and Sweatshirt or Jacket
 Swimsuit ( Girls: one piece or two-piece that covers the mid-driff keeping
modesty in mind!
Boys: modest swim trunks)
 Close-toed walking/running shoes (a pair and a spare of sturdy footwear for
field games, lower camp activities, and rough trails)
 Sandals, flipflops, water shoes (for the beach which is a bit rocky, walking to
bath houses, and walking in main camp areas).









Presbytery Point Camp recommends that you leave valuables at home. The camp
is not responsible for any items that are missing, stolen, or broken. We have had a
change in policy regarding cell phones. Please read about this in the Camper
Covenant. As you can understand, we are working to develop an electronic device
and cellphone arrangement that is respectful to all, and that maintains the focus of
our week on the relationships shared at camp.
