Bolton Charity Urban Outreach is working with volunteers and local businesses to make packed lunches during the summer holidays for children who receive free school meals during term time. The project is called Bolton Lunches and is part of the charity’s Friends of Fun Food programme. Children’s Centres and other community venues will provide collection points for the lunches. To collect your packed lunch just go to your nearest collection point on Monday - Friday between 11am and 12 Noon, give your child’s name, postcode and age and your child will be given a free packed lunch. The lunches are freshly made each day and include a ham, cheese, chicken or tuna roll, a cereal or fruit bar, mini cheese biscuits, a piece of fruit and a drink. The Sport and Active Living Service (Sport in Bolton) will be taking over Victoria Square for the biggest sporting festival of the year.
