The following cost-justification letter may be helpful to those wanting to attend
the National Conference on Managing Electronic Records (MER ’17) next May in
Chicago.

I am seeking approval for the registration fee and travel expenditures to attend the 2017 MER
Conference hosted by Cohasset Associates. The conference is in its 25th year and is recognized
as the leading conference in managing electronic records. The 3-day conference runs from May
8-10, 2017, with full-day pre-conference sessions on Sunday, May 7th. I realize there may be
budget constraints, so I have prioritized and selected this conference.

Exhibitors: There are a number of vendors participating that I plan to evaluate for future
use. Exhibitor meetings at the MER conference are more productive private 1:1 sessions.
Pre-conference Tutorial: I am willing to dedicate Sunday, May 7th to attend a pre-
conference tutorial.
Plus, I can earn continuing education credits for attending the MER conference.
